2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

Texas moved up to #3 in 24/7 composite rankings. Alabama lost a 4-star RB. The funnier news is aggy lost its 5-star QB to USC.
I'll laugh my ass off if/when Texas can keep all of their guys. Hopefully the staff can.

Although, it is extremely funny that ATM will have to scramble for a lesser QB now. I'm sure they're saying Longstreet wasn't SEC ready and whoever they pick next will be much better for them.

I'm not laughing right now. Not hearing good things related to Ffrench, Myron Charles and Townsend. Hopefully the staff can settle things down. Then I'll laugh really hard.

Nothing to worry about. Florida isn't taking any of our recruits. Neither is Florida State.

I changed my post based some other stuff I read. I believe you're correct.

Btw, what is latest on DL recruiting? They still pushing hard for Wynn or Mbatchou?

Townsend got to watch New Mexico State!!! lol And he was there when aggy 5-star QB recruit decomitted from them.

At DL, we continue to plug away. Mbatchou and Wynn are both targets who are receiving basically daily contact. The only real change there is that we're now legit contenders for Justice Terry.

The real news is how we're progressing with Faususi. chipping away and itt's paying off. If Bama can pound sooner and their home crowd Saturday, it might be too much for him to take. lol

We're getting close to when the last of our targets will announce.

Justice Terry? Really? That would be a shocker. He is an instant contributor if not starter, like Collins Simmons.

Fasusi would also be HUGE.

Terry, Terry and Fasusi would be icing on the cake for this class.

J Terry is still a long shot, but the visit he had here put us on his map, so to speak. We'll see if it pans out.

Faususi would indeed be huge. Badenbaugh (OL coach) is the only reason he's still committed to OU. Rumor going around that Venables and Badenbaugh may be out.

But...
Bob Stoops says Brent Venables is 'perfect' hire for Oklahoma. 😂

Hamilton laid down some percentages today for the DL that we're after. Very insightful.

He uses a "threat level" scale of 1-10, with 10 being the biggest threat to flip our commit. He does this when a commit takes a visit elsewhere.

Myron Charles – 3 (was 2 last week) Threat is Florida. Miami is trying hard.

Texas still holds a slight lead for Mbacthou over Florida and Auburn.

Sharma went to BYU with some friends last weekend. He informed the staff ahead of time. Threat level 1.

WIth Kevin Wynn, he has us trailing FSU and South Carolina.

Justice Terry – Georgia 35, Alabama 25, Texas 20, Auburn 20 (percent likely)

Thinks Chase Sims likely stays with aggy.

We are talking with Malcom Simpson frequently. I suppose we're waiting on transcript qualification stuff. He is currently ccommitted to Nebraska but would flip if Texas wanted.

Per Wells (IT) Texas and DL Zion Williams (LSU commit) had a very productive conversation last night.

Whooa. Had no idea it was THIS serious.

Hamilton now saying we're the clear favorite to land LB Kellen Wiley (6-3.5 and 226-pounds) out of Seffner (Fla.) Armwood . OTF puts our odds at 75%.

He does have an OV to Miami coming up next weekend I believe.

Don't be surprised at this . . . per Hamilton/OTF Michael Fasusi will be visiting Texas for this weekend's game. He will also be attending the Texas vs aggy game, although he would be a guest off aggy at that game.

Interesting. He was suppose to be in Norman this weekend for the OU/Bama game.

One more thing, does this mean he is decommitting from OU, because Venebeles (sp) doesn't allow commits to take visits elsewhere?

Could be, but I'm not sure. He did say that several times.

Lol. FWIW,
He basically said if you visit elsewhere you are not really committed, implying he could pull the scholarship offer. Obviously he isn't going to turn down his highest ranked recruit because he took another visit.

I like Sark's approach way better. Basically if you are committed and want to visit another school, then have a conversation with the staff first. I'm not sure if the staff always gives a green light or not, but if it's a top guy they know they can't stop it and want to have an active dialog.

Parker Thune (OU Rivals mod) on Fasusi

“Yeah, he’s expected at Texas this weekend and let’s just say the vibes are not great.

Not great at all.

And needless to say, if he were to decommit, that might have a major ripple effect with this class. He’s too good and too prominent for that not to be the case.

This came as a shock to people in the Switzer Center, too, which is never a good sign.”
