2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

For LB recruiting, IT isn't convinced that it's an either/or situation for Madden Faraimo and Riley Pettijohn, especially if you consider Texas needing numbers at the position and they are different players.

However, A&M is being very aggressive much like they were with TE Kiotti Armstrong, and that resulted in him committing.

They aren't sure yet how well A&M did this weekend for Pettijohn.

Hopefully, RP had a good conversation with Ant Hill.

I honestly thought we would have a public commitment by today.
It's always possible to happen during these weekends but that isn't how this staff operates and it typically isn't how these kids operate.

Honestly, unless they are already committed and show up to the weekend to make it public probably better to have them wait and make sure it isn't an emotional decision.

OTF saying DB Kade Phillips will make a commitment somewhere in the July 4th to July 6th area.

It will be LSU or Texas, and two key people in his immediate family really like the idea of Texas.

OTF asked Ffrench if he was going to take any visits the last weekend of July before two-a-days start, and he mentioned he's coming back to Austin.

On LB Riley Pettijohn, OTF saying there is "growing confidence" in College Station and Ohio State is still in the race.

They said there are factors behind the scenes that are favorable for Texas and the pendulum hasn't swung completely the other way, but the recruitment has definitely tightened up.

"Texas really showed me how I fit in with the team and the culture," Lockett said. "They answered all of the questions I had. Getting to talk to coach Sark one on one, he told me he knows I have talent but he wants me at Texas because I fit the culture mentally."
