Per IT, CB Kobe Black didn't make it to Austin on Friday night but was able to watch the game at home.

He is still committing on November 29th, and plans to be in Arlington on Saturday.

@TFloss32 have to think the Elko hire will help even more with Smith since Durkin probably gets let go. Elko will bring his buddy Santucci to coach LB's and sounds like Robinson gets DC title.

Actually the opposite, per IT.

Smith likes the Elko hire and it doesn't sound like he will visit Texas any longer.

He has a heavy A&M influence in Jasper, so it seems he's been looking for anything to stay committed.

Wonder if this is Florida making up for the coming loss of Filsaime?

If Elko is the hire, I expect less defensive portals than we had hoped for. He is known to a lot of them

It is official
Looking very likely, but not official yet.

He apparently already told their AD he was staying before the Stoops deal fell through, so we'll find out tomorrow if he's waiting to let some heat die down before announcing he's leaving or if he's actually negotiating and giving Duke a shot to match.

Duke 247 said A&M wasn't offering him much more than Duke last week, but sounds like the Stoops debacle made A&M up the offer quite bit to save face and get a deal done quickly.

If the money was similar (Duke BMDs have money, too), who wouldn't prefer Duke in Durham over atm in bcs? If he aspires to the SEC, there will probably be better opportunities in the future. I won't be surprised if he stays put.

IT saying RB Jerrick Gibson attended the Florida game last night after being in Austin on Friday.

They're hinting that he's still comparing the two depth chart situations, especially with several of Texas' RBs being productive and Brooks likely to return.

Wells said that if he flips to Florida that basically Choice let him go.
