I heard a great rumor today from a friend of mine in Austin....he said there is a strong possibility Vernon Broughton is coming back for his COVID year. He did qualify it by saying it does depend on his draft grade, but Broughton saw what happened with Collins. I guess we will see.

Anyone else heard this?

No, haven't heard that but it wouldn't surprise me.

Many sooner fans in this area are excited about Arbuckle and stocked for Mateer. I don't know enough about him to know. What I do know is they still get all giddy when one of them sees a Longhorn logo and they can turn it upside down. The Horns live rent-free in their little minds.lol

I have no idea who Arbuckle is. Can't find him on the roster and can't find him in the OU recruit/transfer class.

Mateer is Applewhite size. We'll break him in half.

Not sure how it breaks down, but they enter their bowl game with only 56 scholarship players.

Actually, Gabriel transfered last year to Oregon.

It was former 5-star Jackson Arnold who just portalled to Auburn.

If you are asked to leave and don't, then the strength and conditioning coach tries to get rid of you. Bottom line is OU is getting rid of players like Kmart's Blue Light Special.

I don't think OU is getting rid of players. I think players are getting rid of OU.

The HC's neck is on the line. Assistant coaches have no job security. Losing six games and really no real hope in sight.

So Venables answers by bringing in a bunch of small school players.

I'm just fine with that.

If OU hasn't figured out by now that Venables is not true HC material, then they deserve what they'll get next year.
