2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

Texas being bad for a decade is the reason.
True, but don't forget how much influence social media has on the kids these days. 20 years ago ESPN was the only source of info on other schools for recruits, so they were more likely to stay loyal to in state schools.

IMO winning is what draws the recruits. Years ago when Corn huskerswere ig they got alot of Texaskids. ou by hook or crook wins and depends on Texas kids

The beg winnerstoday getthier share but money speaks big today aka A$M.

I don't think it is a question of lack of loyalty to the state of Texas. I think it is the fact that a whole generation of kids have grown up seeing Texas as an average to crap team in their whole lifetime. Why wouldn't they go out of state?
When I was young, DKR was a name you said with respect. Woo-Woo-Wooster was a something you heard often and he was larger than life back then. Texas was dominant.

Kids don't look at us like that any more.

Kids do notlook at us like that anymore. Then we do not have a DKR as a coach No 30 game win streak. And most important no defense.

ETX and SHA, if you two don’t stop this debate I am going to start posting 300 word essays, without paragraphs, punctuation or relevant points instead of the 50 word essays of the same grammatical caliber I usually post.

Both of you have made excellent points but neither of you can win a debate of personal opinion. In the meantime the rest of us lose because we have to  scroll through multiple post of y’all’s cat fight to find any pertinent recruiting information.

Guys, an FYI that most of the action today will be with the underclassmen in the 2024 thread.

Tons of talent on campus, including a handful of five-stars.
