The OSU board is hard to read; it's more like a Sooner or Aggy tone.

Here are a few of more reasonable snippets...

"Ewers has family in Delaware and Sunbury Ohio and visits here frequently to Hunt with and Uncle,he was quoted saying he loves Ohio and Hunting and fishing in Ohio and loves spending time in Ohio and its Beauty and outdoors, he is all Buckeye,,And is aka Joe Dirty JR with a cannon of an arm..."

"Ewers has family in Ohio, hes not going to Texas, and read he has been to many Ohio st games in the shoe as a kid,and thinks its the best college stadium in all of america.."

"Ewers committed to Ohio State because of the state of their program. He could have committed to Texas this year but probably realizes they're going nowhere. If you're a top guy are you going to go to a program in the toilet? No. I'll be very surprised if Ewers flips to Texas."  [my comment: no. the state of the program was still much better than Strong's hot mess. The recruiting suffered after Ewers decommitment. Ewers grew to dislike Herman and that was the problem.]

presumably... but three separate posters

edited to add: what's funny is that I was going to add my comment above and found out that I've been banned from that site.  haha  I have been posting on that site and the absorbed Scout Bucknuts site since 2005 the week when Texas beat them, IN THE SHOE, AT NGIHT!  haha Anyway, I find it funny and insightful when I'm banned because someone doesnt like my differing opinion.  I dont curse, not obscene. nor vulgar and not particularly contentious or argumentative and, yet, I get banned.  haha  It's not important so I dont make a big deal of it but this is what these sites have come down to:  group think and confirmation bias (and why they arent particularly interesting anymore).

IT saying momentum appears to be sliding to Texas for WR Brenen Thompson of Spearman.

He was an OU lean early, but word is they aren't in a hurry to take any other WRs right now.

A&M has been pushing hard recently and will also sell him on their track program

Also mentioned aggy is willing to do anything to win this recruitment... Getting bags ready I presume.

This may be Texas related as her name has been mentioned as a potential staff member.

I am dumber for having read that.

Ewers lives literally 45 mins from prime hunting property. He lives in a state that is dominated by its wild outdoors.

But he travels hundreds and hundreds of miles to experience the great outdoors in a park in Ohio? Are the fish even safe to eat there? lol

When it comes to beautiful states, I never gave Ohio much thought.

Did Looch write that for an OSU board? lol

IMO, the recruitment of Spearman's Brennan Thompson will be a test for Sark on his ability to keep the best in-state players from leaving.

Kid is a must have at WR. Blazing speed, shifty moves, velcro hands. But its mainly his speed.

This is a two-factor recruit. 1) you definitely want him on your team with the ball in his hands, and 2) you have to keep someone like this out of OU's hands.

I live in Ohio. I can vouch for it's shittiness. I'd move back to Texas in a heartbeat, but the Mrs. and her family are Cincinnati folk. Dealing with the Oh St dorks every single day is a PITA tho.

and, mind you, those were the half decent posts on that multiple page thread.  the rest of the comments are just aggy/sooner-ish

Honestly I never really pay the 23 thread much attention until the 22 class is signed.

It's no problem as some of us are bigger recruiting nerds than others.

I just want to make sure I am keeping y'all up to date as best as I can and don't want anyone to miss something important.

With that said, recruiting of the younger classes (and recruiting in general) has the potential to get very fun and busy with this new staff so check out the other threads occasionally.
