IT had an update on DE Omari Abor of Duncanville where a source told them they don't expect much to happen with Texas.

They believe what's mostly going on is Abor using Texas as leverage to get the attention of Ohio State since they left him in the dark with their coaching changes.

Honestly, if he doesn't want to be all in as a Longhorn then fine. Nothing against the young man, but he isn't all in then I really don't want him on the team.  Great talent, but I want 100% buy in on recruits.  If he buys in then great.

In all fairness, I think its just a bad habit he's developed over time. He is so seldom run at on his side. And Duncanville's defense usually holds its own on the other side, too. Still, the opponents viewed him as the higher risk option to run at.

But, its a habit he's got to get out of. You've got to hustle up here at this level.

Yeah, I wasn't saying anything about his talent or his play...I was referring to him using Texas to get attention from TOSU if that is what he is doing (according to the Tfloss post from IT).  I just want kids/players that really want to play for the Texas on the jersey.

CTJ dumped some goods on another board. I'll paraphrase them here:

1. The perception that Brandon Harris was a big deal with recruiting is false. Said several recruits did not like him. Viewed as very immature and out of his depths.

2. Saban passed on several targets so he would have more room for portal players. Says Saban has been actively recruiting players on other teams via other players and contacts.

3. Jacoby Matthews may indeed fall into our lap. Saban stopped pushing some time ago. Kelly is not being well received in Cajunville. We may win by default. Doesn't happen often.

4. Thinks Campbell already signing is likely reflected in Belmont's sudden hush on the subject.

5. LTG, Abor, Campbell, and Matthews are the only recruitments being taken seriously. Thinks there may be one or two others that pop up.

6. Seems to be lots of confidence with UT's targets in the portal, especially at WR.

Well, that part I literally quoted but I think he's saying Harris IS very immature and out of his depths.

One guy cited the fact that Harris allegedly (I'm not on twitter) posted on Bryce Anderson's announcement thread (aggy). Looked obnoxious.

I just watched Westlake vs Guyer.

Burke did some things I liked but most of the time he ran himself out of the play. It looked like scheme, seems they were trying to protect his injured hand/finger. At least I hope so.

I was not overly impressed with Klubnik. It seems his success in this game was via Jaden Greathouse. Greathouse showed his speed and separation all game.

The Westlake kicker should get a D1 scholly. Anyone who can kick a 53 yard FG in high school should get a chance at the next level.

DE Colton Vasek should definitely be on Texas' radar this next cycle. Size...size...size (6'7")and speed.

I'll  be curious as to how the staff finishes out the class in February. Then see how many more leave between now and after the Spring practice game ends and where some of these guys end up and where some of our DL fits into what the staff likes and don't like and other positions. Thus seeing what is in the portal and deciding what's best for the '23 class. Whether offensive or defensive players.
