I agree. It's OK to not wear it for a while but at some point if you have enough great athletes you won't have enough jersey numbers.

Rest the jersey number, but don't retire it.

Especially at a place like UT. We'll soon run out of numbers with all the stalwarts who've worn the burnt orange. A framed jersey and statue/bust in our new HOF will suffice, IMO.

He committed to Texas Tech super early, but has since de-committed.
