What Texas fans need to understand about Maalik is he hasn't played a lot of real football.  He's played way more 7v7 football and is a stud in that environment.  He has all the tools but will still need to learn and isn't a guy that will come in on Day 1 and take over the starting job.  This isn't a knock on him whatsoever - just something to temper expectations.

Many of these guys aren't actively recruited after being offered, but just making sure we're covering as much as we can.

IMO, I think we're past the point where Sark can start looking exclusively out of state. When Texas kids won't come to Texas, you have to do what you have to do. I'm sure HS coaches will understand that.

Also, if it really is a 40 year decision then it's an easy decision for me...40 years = 40 acres.  The university of Texas takes care of their own like no one else.  It's for life.
