I hate this time of year in recruiting.  I know the Spring game is coming up, but it always appears like the Horns are losing ground with players.

No. It’s been said before, but the recruitment of Evans was always going to be a marathon. I barely pay attention to the quotes at this point. Texas is Recruiting him as hard as anyone and will be in the thick of it.

We are in a great position right now. In the past we had to hope we could hold on to guys during the season and hope they believed in the vision. This year the season will sell the program and guys like KeKe and Zach want to play for a contender.

I hear ya.  In terms of recruiting, this time of year is always a lull.  The Spring game will be a good shot, but things usually pick up when Texas has their summer. blow out/pool party/bbq event.

Exactly. Right now the focus has mainly been spring ball and getting kids in to see practices. Now it’s getting guys on campus for the spring game. After that the focus will be whatever summer events that get planned out. There are landmarks throughout the calendar and in between that they try to get kids on campus for some one on one time.

I've lost count of all the talented backs Texas is in on this cycle. I know folks are locked on to Zach Evans, but there are so many good ones to be had and Texas has cast a wide net.
