@MikeV73 I'm Cherokee, Creek and Seminole.

I'm also blue eyed, blonde headed and get AT LEAST one sunburn a summer. We are the face of Native America nowadays. I still have full blood family members that look like injuns but they aren't the norm anymore. So lay off my people!!!

Rivals Rankings Week: Predictions as 2020 recruiting cycle ramps up

LONGHORNS LAND EVANS

Zachary Evans
is the top-ranked prospect in the Lone Star State and Texas not only wants him, but desperately needs him. Tom Herman saw three of his running backs put their names into the transfer portal, then

Derrian Brown
, the lone running back he signed in 2019, had to emergency surgery late in January to remove a blood clot from his brain.

The Longhorns have a big need at running back and landing Evans could take the program's recruiting efforts to another level this cycle. Texas signed the No. 4 class in both 2018 and 2019, but adding Evans could push the Longhorns to a top-three finish in 2020.

This is not going to be an easy recruitment for Texas to win. The Longhorns will have to battle in-state rivals Texas A&M along with Alabama, Georgia and LSU to name a few. In the end though, the prediction is, Texas keeps the top prospect in the Lone Star State home.

Hypothetical situation here:  say Milton takes OV's in spring/summer and wants to commit to Texas shortly after.  No way we'd turn him down but what does that do to Evans?  We aren't in the position to turn down high rated RB's with the way our depth chart is.

they are also not against playing with each other and other good RBs so that is a positive.

Every RB knows we will sign 2 RBs in 2020 cycle so they should expect a talented guy with them. Evans and Milton, in this case know each other and have talked about playing together so thats a plus. We need to get 2 talented RBs in 2020 period.

One bird is worth two in the bush. You take Milton if he wants to commit early and you keep recruiting Evans like nobody’s business.
^^ This.

Evans has voiced his opinion on how running backs can get burned out before they hit their NFL prime. So this would help alleviate that concern with the promise of split load.

Just curious, but why isnt Joshua Eaton rated?  I dont put all my stock in the services when it comes to evaluating talent, but this one has me a little perplexed.  This kid does have some good offers out there.

Networks probably haven’t caught up on him yet. Happens a lot. Give it some time and he will probably be ranked.
