2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

This is a strange prediction.

Bru McCoy: 5-Star Wide Receiver

8 OF 15

High School, Hometown: Mater Dei School, Santa Ana, Calfornia

If you're looking at the Southern Cal commitment list with a "how did this happen?" look on your face, just wait until February 6.

Actually, you may just need to wait until Sunday.

The Trojans could add a slew of commitments in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and a few of those would help replenish a stable of wide receivers to go along with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Vaughns.

As already mentioned, the battle for Kyle Ford's signature could go either way between Washington and USC. It would not be a surprise if the Trojans were the choice on Saturday. What would be a shocker, however, is if Bru McCoy picked anybody other than USC.

Helton and Co. have a pipeline to Mater Dei, where quarterback J.T. Daniels and St. Brown both played. The latest dynamic playmaker to come out of that powerhouse is McCoy, who can play a number of positions but looks like he'll start his career on the offensive side of the ball.

Though Texas is right in the mix and has done a good job recruiting him, McCoy looks earmarked for USC. His commitment will provide a monumental boost to a class that sputtered a bit in the early signing period.

New offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury will help Helton add some very nice pieces down the stretch, and McCoy will wind up being a puzzle piece around which to build. Even with a loaded receiving corps, he's good enough to break into the rotation right away.

Prediction: Texas

After reading the article I think they meant to put USC

Everyone is jumping the gun.  Lets wait til tomorrow.

If it is USC then it begs the question which current player at Texas told him not to come here?

That Bru article was from Jan 1st & he isn't saying USC is the school he's picking.

No it wasn’t. But only because Belushi stopped the Japs from invading California in 1941.

I think that mystery was solved. The player was a one-time USC commit who signed with Florida in the early signing period.

Thanks.  Well if he still chooses USC then I guess everyone is right it was USC along then.  I will still hold out hope though.

The ones we’ve had haven’t been bad just not deep enough or coached up.
My bold on last 7 words.
Accurate, and changed effective this season; pronounced heavily in the Sugar Bowl.

To a recruit: if you want to play top level AND be coached well and developed... and same for those lining up beside you -- and live in the top city in the country -- your zip code is 78705.

I thought the player was Chris Steele. He hasn’t signed yet. He aparently told Bru to stay away from the dumpster fire. Some people just don’t want to listen.

I think Bru wants early playing time and USC’s depth chart is going to be easier to break into than Texas’ in my humble opinion. He’s a USC homer but this recruitment does have a weird smell to it. It would be sweet to hear the reaction if he sides with Texas in the Alamo Dome...

Mann I tell ya I think the whole Bru conversations that has been ongoing has surpassed Waddle and Daylon Mack conversations . I'm glad when it's over with

Today the #Brumors will come to an end in San Antonio. If it’s USC,  I can say that the staff did one hell of a job recruiting him and his family. This was never supposed to be a close race all things considered.

#DMRD...Daylon Mack Rules his Dorm room.  Haven’t heard much from this guy since his attempt to become relevant with his #WRTS patented BS.

And Daniel can take that long awaited lol honeymoon lol

I will probably get flamed for this but IDC

The board is funny.

We all love Bru when it appears to be Texas then most of you go all aggy when it appears its USC.

The only thing lacking to complete aggish nonsense is the inevitable "he wasnt Big12 Ready" BS

I only hope these recruits dont read this board before they announce

If he signs with SC he's basically admitting he's not Big 12 ready. Baylor would not take his signature, I know that for a fact. Smallish forearms. Not a coach on the field.
