Holy Smokes. Marcus Banks? Didn't expect that one. I guess decommit season picked up in full steam

Which bigger fish? There is two of them I'm thinking
I hope its Higgins and not McCoy you're referring to.  Not that I dont want Higgins in this class, but I hope they continue to have a chance with Bru. Having a chance with Bru means they have a better chance with Sanders.

It will be interesting with both of those two. I'm more cautiously optimistic with Bru than I am with Higgins. I better hope I'm wrong

In all honesty, I think the chances of UT landing McCoy and Sanders is somewhere between low to moderate at best.  However, its exciting to see Texas in the picture with both.  I think both have a spot no matter what if they want in.  I loved both of those guys when I watched the game they played last month.  Both are just major difference makers.

This is a pretty accurate statement.

Oh exactly. That's why I'm cautiously optimistic on Bru. I'm not really in content with Sanders. . We just have to see what happens. Stranger things have happened

The both of them? Good to moderate, with Sanders being the more doubtful of the two.

Sanders and McCoy both have us leading right now. If we continue to win and look good, it would take a highly successful visit elsewhere to change it. Especially McCoy.

At this point, there is nothing USC can say that he hasn't already heard a dozen times. There isn't anything Helton can do that he hasn't already done. So there's nothing waiting in the wings to save this recruitment for USC. It comes down to whats happening on the field – and personal matters that none of us will ever know about.

From what I've seen, USC has won but even in victory, they're not so impressive. The program definitely looks like its going in the wrong direction.

The McCoy thing is real. If NSD were to be tomorrow, he'd be a Horn. All we have to do is keep recruiting him the same way we have. It's been very successful so far.

IMO, McCoy's interest feeds Sanders. The two talk. I think they both can now seriously see themselves in those tightie whities. Beating OU, USC and TCU like we did was pretty impactful.

The question leads though to Sander's family. From what I've been hearing his family wants him to close to home. However he is extremely close with Whittington

I'm thinking Herman wants a recruiting footprint on the west coast and this year is serendipitous as the Pac12 is down as a whole. If I'm Herman I take any 4* from out west if they want to come, regardless of who has committed from elsewhere.

This is kind of exciting.  Even when Texas was losing they were recruiting decently, but seeing a winning product sure makes things easier.

If we keep winning and play in a NY6 Bowl, for 2020 we will get the majority in-state studs and some high ranked OOS guys.  Top 5 class guaranteed.

And you know what the funny thing is about all this? It amazes me how much winning can really wake up a program that has gotten recruits attention. More showing signs of optimistim

I simply don’t understand some of you, and that is not a criticism. It’s an honest statement. I don’t understand you. I’m going to spell it out so you can see it from my perspective.

1) The University of Texas offers one of the best educations of any university in this country. The University is respected at the national level by institutions of higher learning and employers.

2) Austin is a great place to live. I don’t think there will be an argument with that, unless there is an Ag in hiding on here.

3) UT Football is on the way up, and it appears that TH may get us to our destination sooner rather than later. I seriously hope that CJ and LJH don’t jump this year because just think where we could be next year!

Where is Alabama headed, or rather when will their program suffer the inevitable downturn?  I don’t know, and neither does anyone else, but Saban is closer to 80 than he is to 50, and he is closer to 70 than he is to 60. Does anyone doubt that program will take a downturn when he retires?  I don’t. There is too much historical evidence to dispute it.

Georgia has already lost one, and if they make it to the SEC Championship game, that will probably be another, despite what is allegedly happening in Athens.

So, go ahead, talk about why we don’t have a chance at this recruit or that recruit. Please, don’t let logic get in the way, but while you are going on and on, let us know how you like your crow?

Hook ‘em!

p.s.  I’m watching Texas Football Overdrive. Collin Johnson is a great representative of The University. When he finishes playing pro football, he will be fabulous in the broadcast booth, if that is what he chooses to do.
