2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

I was hoping it wasn't a problem between him and the coaching staff. It seems to me that this might become the norm going forward. Some players who love Herman's recruiting pitch won't respond well to his inflexible requirements when it comes to practice. Just my opinion.
Herman didn’t recruit Nelson.  Strong did.  Some kids don’t like being coached hard.  Nelson appears to be one of those kids which is too bad

I heard Chris Nelson and Edwin Freeman most likely won't be with the team come August.  Anyone else heard that?  Losing Nelson would be a huge blow.  Coburn will get time, but who will man the Middle? Wilbon? Christmas?
The sooner that the guys with the "quitter " attitude leave, the better. Quitters are cancer.

That grouping is a realistic scenario for Texas. Though I wonder about Higgins outgrowing the position.
May be wrong but think I saw the staff is looking to take 4 WR's this class.  Looks like Dylan Wright is priority as well.

I think this will be another 25 man class.

QB - 1, RB- 1, TE - 2, WR - 4, OL - 5, DL - 5, LB - 3, DB - 4.  That's 25.  I could see it going up to 27 with another DB and OL added.  I'll even go ahead as to say we'll take 5 DB's.

Some of these other schools wanting to point out our previous DB class as negative recruiting, but we lose D. Davis and Boyd and other than the incoming freshmen, the only other CB's are Boyce and if you want to count Cuffee and Don. Duvernay ( I don't see either being a factor ).  So we still need 2, maybe 3, high-end Corners, which I think J-Wash will land.

Wright is absolutely a priority. That class breakdown is probably ideal, but obviously things are fluid since attrition will happen at some point.

Last year Bill Belichick was featured at the Coaches Clinic. This year Marvin Lewis will be there.

Hope he doesn't share his strategy for winning playoff games :D

The staff needs to do a good job of not only selling that fact, but also point to the success of the Ohio St and Bamas of the world that stack talent on talent.  The results? Championships and NFL in your future. I'm sure they are doing that, but put 10 Ws on the board and recruiting will take care of itself. Besides, regardless of who's coaching, aggy gonna aggy, so we'll be fine!
