IT thinks the staff might take a look at Moore... Interesting development.. Mentioned there will probably be a spot now due to missing on Catalon.

UT staff has been in contact with Moore. Its likely to go down.

Think we whiffed on Catalon, but I think we would take Moore regardless.

I never understood why the prospect of taking Jordan Moore seemed like such a crazy idea to many people here. He was a top 300 recruit, he's got 2 family members on the team here, and he's tweeted/liked a crapload of pro-Texas stuff ever since he announced his intention to transfer. As far as the depth at safety goes...he'll have to sit out a year, so he'll be 2 years behind other guys from the 2018 class (Sterns, Foster, Overshown) once he's eligible in the 2020 season.

I agree 100%

I also think this is a legacy issue. I don't care if it's one year removed or 50.

Jordan was a 4-star safety when he was being recruited. When you have Sterns and Foster in the bag, you don't need a Jordan 4-star safety.

But Texas would utilize him in the nickel spot, where Josh Thompson will be for the next two years. Moore will have to sit a year and will surely get PT the second year along with filling in when Thompson gets banged up or injured.

Both the Moores have the athleticism to play a number of positions.

True we “offered” a ship but we did not really recruit him hard ever. we kept our toe in the water to gage interest. We went hard after BJ,Caden and Overshown at Safety, they all committed well b4 NSD and we didn’t have a need to recruit Jordan hard
Edit:  in the future I commit to reading prior comments before posting my own.

IT thinks we may be picking things up with Barlow.  @Sirhornsalot will be doing flips if we offer.
Barlow looks very average to me, running through big holes with little wiggle and vision. I'd pass and let Smith or Wittington run the ball if we get super desperate.
