I agree...he's basically just saying that you don't have to go to IMG or any similar school to get "noticed".  If you ballin', they'll find you.  Not a knock on the kids who currently attend IMG at all imo

But he also said kids should play for the communities they live in. I agree with that.

I don't like the IMG concept in any way shape or fashion. Kids need to be kids while there is time to be a kid.

The statement by Herman takes me back to a line in Friday Night Lights that always makes me chuckle. "Make no mistake, we are in the business of protecting this town."

I've never understood what he meant by "protect this town." How can a HS football team do that? And what invading army does the town need protection from?

But thats just a too simplistic way of seeing it. Towns have reputations. And that reputation is what gets protected. People far and wide know of Plano, Texas because the football program there won for years and years. Same for Katy. And Westlake. And Daingerfield. And Celina. And so on.

I could be wrong, but I don't expect a commitment from Eagles. Seems like he'd want to have more than an afternoon's notice to do it. This is, after all, a kid who postponed his commitment date because of technical video difficulties.

I think it's going to be a top 5 or top 3. Texas and Clemson will be in there.

Question, is this an indication the staff thinks Ossai is off the board? It was a long shot anyway. I'm assuming the offer is for DE.
