9-3 losses to USC, OK ST. and at West Virginia

I'm drinking the cool-aid  and going with 10-2. Will drop one to either USC/OU and another OKst/WV.

Make no mistake about it this team is loaded and IMO has one of the top 10 rosters in the country (2-3 potential first rounders).

This season should set the foundation for a 2018 playoff run.

I guess I'll go with 9-3. Really wanted to say undefeated cause to say we will lose 3 makes me ill. But being realistic means we are probably not there yet. Here's hoping for a magical season!!

I agree completely with the first sentence, but will amend mine to specify USC and not OU. We donkey stomp OU. Glory boy won't finish the game.

I don't think we have one of the top 10 rosters in the nation. Perhaps top 30. Herman's coaching, staff coaching, and mental/phsyical approach to the job, and youthful experience (odd combination, but we have it) will be what carries the day for UT.

Agree with the last sentence. We should be ready for prime time in year 2.

I do believe that Texas has top 10 rosters and over the next 2-3 years as we start churning players into NFL it will be more obvious.

Why? Because I believe they have started to develop them.

Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama and Florida St are the only teams that I would say have overall better players.

I would say other teams like Michigan, Oklahoma, GA, FL, LSU, USC, Penn St, Okie lite, etc. have similar rosters. They haven't recruited better than Texas they've just developed and more importantly coached them up.

10-2 regular season. Lose CCG (which is a joke) to some school from OK.

Win Alamo Bowl for an 11-3 finish and #12 in final AP poll. 

Preseason #3 in 2018.

Street, if we are 10-2 won't we go to a higher tier bowl game?  I thought the Alamo Bowl was a lower tier game. 

Figuring in the CCG loss takes us to 10-3.  And the Alamo is the #1 bowl tie-in for the Big 12 after the New Years 6.

Since I started this thread it's only fair to address my prediction and...

I'm standing by the Horns to win 10 games.

I'm a fan (fanatic and according to some delusional) and will play that violin till the end if that ship goes down.

Herman, team, and Co will learn from this loss and show us what good coaching looks like.
