2017 Recruiting Thread Part 1

Another thing to keep in mind is LSU is in a good spot with several other LB's. OLB Willie Gay is trending heavily LSU's way and they may flip both Jacob Phillips and Chris Allen.

The guy's committing to LSU last year and this year is who will be playing against in a couple of years in a home-and-home. Although I'm not sold on Orgeron yet.
One other to keep in mind concerning KC , UT is #1 in the nation for his intended major. If it was strictly a football decision then I would be a little more nervous, but he likes UT'S program in Petroleum Engineering and he says he puts a lot of stock in the Alumni network (UT is rock solid in that, department).

I don't think Fitzgerald was oversold. He just wasn't needed because of depth we had as well as Eric Fowler being a tad bit more ready for prime time.

Cedric Bensen was redshirted his freshman year. Didn't mean he and his talents were oversold.

Some of the film on Fitz was beastmode -- look forward to seeing if it will translate

If the Horns can pull in Gary Johnson then I'm excited about our LB rotation next year. Jefferson, Wheeler, Fowler, Freeman, Johnson, McCullough, Hager, Roach, and Hughes (of course Hager, Hughes Fowler and Roach are more pass rushing LBS in the 3/4 scheme). Lots of combinations of speed, coverage skills, pass rushing, blitzing, and run stopping. That,is a deep group. Gone are the days of Tim Cole backing up Malik.
My 2 cents - I think Wheeler is the one pushed back for Johnson

I love Shark and Fowler, and have always thought Freeman would be the perfect hybrid S/LB for the B12

We will see

Are these CB's within the past 24 hours?

There is some LSU jibba jabba that they are going hard after Jacob Phillips

The idea being that this is telegraphing their thoughts on their chances with Chaisson

They may also be facing a schollie numbers crunch for the LB position

I know this much -- Chaisson is one of those players who raises his game in the playoffs.  He got better

Appreciate the insight

These days, there's more hair hanging out the bottom of the helmet than there is contained within the helmet.

Predator has invaded football.
