I was just on TexAgs forums and saw there's a great chance of Kirk Christian transferring from A&M to play with Kyle Allen because they went to the same high school

Every program in country would want Kirk

247 say Reese will announce Dec 18 (Fri) -- will be streamed live

Gator, Bugeater or Texas

DB Chris Brown (Elsik)

Gator now a threat to us on Brown, DJax and Reese

In fact, their pursuit of Brown is probably really all about DJ

One of 247's national writers -- Steve Wiltfong -- now thinks Michigan and LSU lead for Delance

Currently set announce Jan 2

Wilkerson disagrees^, still thinks we are in good shape with Delance mainly based on his confidence that Mattox can close.

Have we heard anything new on Riley Ferguson? If he's an EE, I think he has to decide by Wednesday.

Holland talked to Tope Imade who said Michigan impressed his good friend Delance and has a good shot, with LSU now number 3.
Delance's family wants him to stay in state, Immade is working on him too.
Immade was even considering a trip to Michigan himself, but has since spoken to Mattox (who he already knew through Tulsa recruiting) and now will not make that trip.

Immade set up his OV to Texas for Jan. 16th (which should be with Delance, which is what we want)

4-star S Devin Studstill (6'1,180) of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. said his visit went well --   "Coach Strong's pitch was very straightforward.  He expressed his need for a safety and stated that they wouldn't come all the way to Florida for a back up. So, it seems early playing time is there for the taking."

He announces live on ESPNWestPalm.com Dec. 15  at 5pm

Finalists include: Notre Dame, Texas, North Carolina, Miami and WVU.

Ferguson talked to Strong and Gilbert tonight.

Apparently we requested transcripts.

But haven't offered yet

Most seem to have the kid going to ND. Glad we made a good impression. Man does he sound polished though.

Transcripts have to bode well though. That's basically just us making sure he's giving a crap in class. Hopefully he is and we can secure us a new QB.

if that happens, what will Kai do?  does he stay and compete?  swoopes isn't going anywhere.  he is already 3 years in.  heard, on the other hand will have to weigh his options.

It's interesting that you bring up Kai. He has the most raw ability out of any of our QB's. So if anyone has the potential to develop into a good system QB, it's him. Gilbert was probably the best thing to happen to Kai. With that said, he could elect to transfer. Or he could take this as an opportunity to compete. If all works out for Kai, he could be the starter next year. Worst comes to worst, he's competing for the starting job his RS Junior Year. It could look like this:

'16 - Ferguson

'17 - Ferguson

'18 - Locksley

'19 - Locksley

'20 - Buechele

'21 - Ehlinger

Or he could get passed up. You never know. Only thing I know for sure is that if Heard doesn't really show progress in his passing, I could see him getting passed up.

I think Buechele plays before that. also the bigger question is who is coaching Texas in 19/20?

Per Higs

"I don't think Merrick or Kai play bc of victims of circumstances.....and they are looking at options bc Swoopes/Heard aren't the answer? I think everyone can see that. Strong and Sterlin watched Riley Ferguson film today. South Carolina is trying to get him to stay closer to home"
