Take this for what its worth. I have a student in class that transferred from Beaumont who played ball with both Whaley and Locke. He remains good friends with both and they talk quite frequently. According to him we are officially out for Whaley. Apparently PJ is still working on him but he says he wants to go out of state and make a name for himself(not just follow PJ). I don't think it was anything Texas did to scare him off. Like I said, take this for what its worth. These are high school kids who change their minds on a daily basis.

That's interesting. Didn't PJ recently tweet out a picture of him and his brother in support of Texas? I could be mixed up.

Edit: Nvm it's on the previous page. Interesting info nonetheless hoskins.

Is this the pic your talking about Blake?

I think i recall reading that Whaley is very interested in GA but we are still in the mix.....but not by much

If true then good luck to Whaley. While I would've loved to have him in burnt orange he was luxury this year. I think the Horns end up with Kyle Porter and go all in on JK Dobbins next year and someone else. Again, I would love to have him than not.

Whaley is a Cadillac. Sure looks nice in the driveway, sure feels good driving it. But does it really match/meet your driving style and budget requirements?

IMO, Porter is a better fit for this offense than Whaley.

Lol..Nice analogy

Side note.

The Bama/LSU matchup in a couple weeks is gonna be the most boring game of the year. Like the Rematch Championship game a while back. Both teams still don't have a real QB

Im yawning just thinking about it

I think you make tweaks in your offense to accommodate any great player. Running back, wide receiver or whatever. There's nothing good about losing Whaley.
