He has been chatting with Tristan Nickelson and Quincy Vasser about it

Here is what Higs is saying about these sudden, late DT offers --

He claims it is happening because we did not start looking at true "nose" guys until the year was done -- "sometimes you aren't exactly sure what you need til the season is over."

He also claims that it doesn't have anything to do with how we feel about the DTs on the recruiting board currently, because those guys are all "all athletic type DTs"

And only now have we have decided we would like to add a true NT type, if we can.

Not sure about any of this, but there it is just the same

Speaking of the NT offers --

Football Brainiacs talked to Chris Daniels's dad yesterday --  “He is going to announce but he is torn…coach Strong played ball with my uncle at UCA, went to school with my dad, and knows my entire family…â€

The dad talked to Strong last night (1 dead period call per week allowed) --  “was awesome … just like with Saban, Harbaugh and Stoops.â€

FB asked why the late offer and he said Strong told them that they, “wanted to make sure he was qualified and really didn’t get the sense he (Chris) was interested until Vahe (current Longhorn and former teammate) told him (Strong).â€

Source says the dad wants Texas.

He plans on taking 3 OVs in January -- Texas, aggy, ou
