Higs says that one of the coaches at the UA Game, who has NFL experience, told him Cuffee was one of if not the best DB in that game.
He said some good things about Eric

One of the best at the UA game but aggie said they don't need him. Maybe he coach is confused because aggie doesn't make mistakes like this. ðŸ˜

Suchomel shut down any rumors that Jordan Elliott might  take a visit somewhere else this weekend

He says not happening and that Strong will be there on Saturday for in-home

--------

Suchomel also says Kyle Porter really "clicked" with Strong, so in his opinion, Porter to TCU is not a done deal

----------

"Patrick Hudson - ...... One person I talked to tonight said Hudson's visit to UT really was a terrific visit.  In fact, the person I spoke with thought Hudson, in his heart, favors Texas over Baylor.  That being said, people at Baylor are very confident that Art Briles locked Hudson back in when he met with Hudson and his mother this week.  Unconfirmed rumor ...  I heard this week some speculation that Baylor is giving his sister a partial track scholarship. Texas is not able to do that, so if that is true (and I still haven't confirmed), that would lock it up for Baylor. Bottom line, Hudson really likes Texas so anything is possible in the next six days, but I think he sticks with Baylor.
would the partial scholly still be there if he chose UT?  or will they pull it?  if they pull it, seems unethical, but

If we get through this NSD period with an outstanding class, and then next season finally break through with a quality season... and gonna go out on a limb here... and say with losses between 1 and 3... so that's a 9-win season on the low end of that. Like I say, out on a limb... But that's based on the fact I think the offense finally comes into play. Which helps the defense that should be even better. And so on.

With a quality season the recruiting takes another step up, and then what may become evident, tying the recruiting seasons together, is that Charlie (1) is a good evaluator who really can sense quality and potential, sees kids with talent and coachability, and (2) that recruits and families sincerely take a shine to Coach.

Add a string of quality seasons of the kind Mack Brown enjoyed with VY and Colt... as was said, 'be in the mix,' and the sky's the limit in winning recruiting battles. I like going after talent both before and after the dead period. I like this kind of exposure. The big OV weekends and being on the road constantly in homes all over the place. Or I don't recall the push being this expansive the final three weeks before signing. Just a little, but not this much.

And we're doing it without helicopters! Just a dab'll do you, kind of thing.

I do not believe we offered her a partial schollie.  Is that what you meant?

Or did you mean Baylor?

Last year at this time, everyone was hyped up. Then Murray said no, Mack went aggy and the recruiting class turned out to be decent, but nothing stellar. Then the grade risks fell out. Then Lampkin gave Coach Strong the finger. Then Cherry picked up and left. Overall, last year's recruiting class helped, the team still has gaping holes.

The ND game was a coaching disaster, especially on offense. The team bumbled through painful OOC loses. Once the team showed signs of promise against OU, the team was incapable of playing consistently. It was beyond frustrating.

This year needs to be about improvement in every aspect of the program, starting with translating the pre-NSD hype into a solid recruiting class. Get the team through spring workouts without significant injuries. Get all the recruits through the clearinghouse and on campus at the start of the first summer session. If we get to that point, it would be meaningful improvement.

I hope the team turns the corner this coming season, but first things first. It will be a promising sign to see Coach Strong and the staff carry the momentum through signing day. This is going to be a year of very limited patience for a large number of the faithful. For a number of reasons, I hope the next week goes well and that everyone keeps focused on all the work that needs done.

I'm not a fan of Charlie's style of having so many uncommitted recruits going into NSD. It's tough making the adjustment from decades of having signing classes wrapped up months in advance to having more empty clots that recruits going into NSD. Charlie needs a big week to get people to buy into to his recruiting style. Especially with Tom Herman breathing down his neck and Texas trailing both U of H and Tech in the composite rankings less than a week before NSD.

Greatly written.

Serious flaw in this way of thinking. If a kids goes public and commits it really mean nothing. Just as if a kids tells the staff he is committing but does not want to go public yet means nothing. You can have 25 public commits or 25 silent commits both have equal wait. ZERO We probably have right now at least 9 silent commits right now. Had they all gone public weeks ago would your perception be different?

Per Billy on the shark

"However, when Sumlin, Chavis and the A&M coaches got word that McCulloch was attempting to sway a high-profile player or two to flip to Texas while on the Aggie campus last weekend, the in-house was never taking place. It was simply going to be a parting of ways at the school and the coaches that have recruited him and treated him well for nearly two years letting them know that they were aware of his actions."

"No, his offer wasn't pulled...I don't want to make it sound even in the slightest as if I'm trying to say that because McCulloch was a guy that the Aggies wanted from wire-to-wire. He just went with the school he had always loved growing up in the end, which is completely understandable."
