2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

 January 23rd for Mack

Texas apparently gets the last visit.

The Hammster is still calling Mack to aggy

"Guys, I had a long talk with Daylon's father last night and we decided it wasn't the best idea to run with the article that we have written up right now.Daylon is very passionate and made a lot of good points in the article but the way it comes off is an issue.

Personally, at this very moment, if I'm predicting what happens, is he eventually signs with Texas A&M.

The school I'd really look out for is TCU. The family loves Gary Patterson, especially momma Mack.

I think he'll take an official to A&M right before NSD. The new defensive coordinator will be a strong hire and the Aggies will get some good commitments towards the end and that momentum will be enough to get Mack back on board. That's my take."

Other aggies disagree

Higdon over at Scout has been calling for something big to happen for awhile. I consider Higdon to be one of the best in the business when it comes to recruiting. Very interesting, this is what he had to say.

"A couple of things at play...One of the things was Mack bouncing from the Aggies.....Again, that is not the big thing I am talking about...its also not Boyd announcing on Xmas....I will say this though, the thing I am talking about I "thought" was for sure going to happen before Malik announced which would have given all of you little doubt where Malik was headed...but, funny thing in recruiting it did not happen before MJ announced like I originally thought. When it does you will know exactly what I was talking about....it's not 100% to happen before Xmas but it will happen...I believe it will happen this week though......"
In between naps, yard work, and errands I will not be on pins and needles here. What is with these dopes sending out a bunch of cryptic posts that have no information to be found? I guess they are like the weathermen who say I told you so that they were right about the rain chance prediction when it drizzles for a minute.
PS: utisdabomb, not a negative rif towards you and I always appreciate what you bring to the board. Just tired of these internet guys trying to be the scoopmeister with spy vs spy posts!

For me, Irvin ranks and one of the next 2 or 3 must-haves.  He is a beast.

I have read that the rules limit us to 6 early entrees.  If so, we have already filled up that number with the 3 JUCOs, MJ + 2 OLs.  Thus, if so, Irvin would count against this years' numbers.  Anyone disagree with this?  Either way, we sign Irvin as soon as we are able -- get him enrolled and playing Spring Ball.  Having those 6 spots to use this year has worked out tremendously either way,

This film has lots of him on offense, showing speed, quickness, vision and hands.  But check out his hit on defense ~ 1:43 mark

holy mother of God

No offense taken. I get what you are saying and agree.

I've met Sean and like him ok, but this is an example of the "wtf" moments I have with his posts.

This is the home of 3-star Colt McCoy, who took us to the title game.

Secondly, being the 64th best athlete in a country full of a few million athletes is quite an achievement. So he "duh'ed" on one point, and defeated himself on the other.

Yes, SHA, he is all that, and then some.  I don't know how to describe this class, except to say that I think it is going to become something special, very special.

Do I remember Vince's class correctly, was it small?

This appears to be a large, cohesive class, with key pieces of the puzzle.

Hook 'em!

Was eager to see Ryan Newsome for Aledo in the state championship game against Temple. Haven't watched any video of him and never seen him play so I know that one game is not a fair representation of his talent. But I was very underwhelmed.

Naturally, Temple keyed on him the whole game. I posted his stats in the Playoff thread, but did not have his return yards.

Notice what a game the QB had? You place too much emphasis on one player, another hurts you bad.

Ryan Newsome is probably the most underrated player in the state. You don't get offers from Texas, Oregon, OU, UCLA, Clemson, ND, Alabama, USC, and Florida State if you are a scrub. I've seen him play several times in person and he's the definition of a home run threat.

...add to that, RN is a leader and all-around good person and student.  He sounds like the total package to me.

Of course, I don't want to interrupt a totally good 'bah-humbug' when I hear one, either.   ;)
