2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

There are at least three very firm commitments that have not gone public. There are family issues, "coaching" issues and maybe one grade issue that will prevent these HUGE commitments from going public just yet.

The coaching issue really threw me. It's sad that a HS coach would try and affect a family and this important if a decision, but they do. And in this case it is apparently all about misinformation.

Negative recruiting is alive and well. A HS coach protecting a previous relationship he had with a college coach despite one of his players wishes, IS alive and well.

While this is a shame, I trust we have the men of character on our staff to rise above the muck and get through this mess with their heads held high and the kids that want to play for them by their side.
Shevis,

Is the coach misinformed, or, has the coach misinformed the recruit and family in an attempt to impact their decision?

The twitter postings on the last two won't open for me.  Could someone translate?  Are they from 11/7/2011?

"It’s wonderful. They are my dream school,†Cherry tells HornsDigest. “Coach [Charlie] Strong is a Florida boy like me.â€

Cherry recently got off the phone with Strong, linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary and defensive coordinator Vance Bedford to tell them the news.

"I feel like that program is going to be a dynasty and I want to be the one to lead them to a national championship," he said.

The Longhorns have offered several prospects from the state of Florida, which all happen to be his good friends - tight end Devonaire Clarington, wide receiver Gilbert Johnson, linebacker Tim Irvin and cornerback DeVante Davis.

Cherry, or "big head" as his friends call him, said they all talk every day about Texas.

Cherry is eager to get to Austin to start "developing my game."

"That's all I can do," he said. "I want to make big moves as a freshman. I know if I handle my business I will have an opportunity to play early because they only have three linebackers returning on scholarship. They like physical players like me."

Here is a graphic with every "in-conference" defensive snap

The names in black wont be back in 2015

Can easily see our need at LB and how important Cherry is.  Adding Wheeler would help more.

There is some thought that Toby W's decision will affect the decision of Lampkin as they are good friends.

Would be good if we could hold him in this class.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lampkin our only DT commit for 2015?

Burton just posted that he talked to a source today who told him UCLA is no real player for MJ. Says it's aggy-Texas battle and multiple factors now in play on each side. His personal opinion is that MJ still goes to aggy. But this is as optimistic as I've seen Burton post on MJ.
