mesohomy, don't see your point. Texas is a bigger fish in a much bigger pool. coaching at TEXAS is still considered one of the top 5 jobs in the country and Texas is probably a little better known for it's football than UL, just saying

Mack wasn't forced out, he didn't meet agreed upon requirements to keep his job, was 30-21 last 4 years and hasn't recruited or developed a great QB since Colt(Ash could still turn out great) and probably cost us this season with keeping Diaz

Good observations and good post. We aren't settling, we are getting a HC that really wants the position. With hopefully Vance Bedford coming over and getting an excellent OC, we'll be much better than the last 4 years. Think it's a very smart hire.
