SignUp Now!That is a big statement. Metcalf was special. I hope he is right, even 70% close. Let's hold that observation to see how it plays out next season.Okay, damn. Burton just compared Bishop to Eric Metcalf.
Have they decided Bishop is an offensive player? I know he is equally good as a CB.Per Burton:
"Jermaine Bishop is fast. I’m not talking about track fast. He’s football fast.
We’re two practices in, and I’d bet Sark is already conjuring ways of getting Bishop involved in this offense somehow, some way."
I heard that. Metcalf was SOOOO good. That is high praise.Okay, damn. Burton just compared Bishop to Eric Metcalf.
I love Burton.... but Burton is a fan. He would have us convinced that Texas will win the national championship every year... That said, pass the Burnt Orange Kool-Aid!Per Burton:

Anybody catching a buzz on the Kool-Aid yet?I love Burton.... but Burton is a fan. He would have us convinced that Texas will win the national championship every year... That said, pass the Burnt Orange Kool-Aid!
It would also be great to have a shutdown corner who can play man to man.Have they decided Bishop is an offensive player? I know he is equally good as a CB.
Personally, I am rooting for offense. We could use more explosive play potential.
“I’m going to stretch it further,” Bryant tweeted. “Texas hasn’t had a playmaker like him since Vince Young!”

I hope your right because 4 months ago he was so bad he didn't even get a shot with our disaster of an O line. So allow me to withhold on the kool-aide just yet.Coleman is what I would call a "developed OT." He is your second string OT but probably beats everyone out for the Left Guard position, even if the NCAA gives the transfer another year.
He's become quite good. He's developed faster over the last year than probably anyone else on the team.
This is where my confidence comes from. The depth looks much better this year than a year ago. More proven this year.Burton: "This is the deepest Texas team in recent memory. Everywhere you looked on the Denius practice fields yesterday morning, there was a future NFL player. It truly didn’t matter the position. Everywhere you looked, there was a dude."
I love Bishop and fully get the hype. We will just have to see what happens once he gets all the pads on and deals with contact. In HS no one was quick enough to jam him or be physical with him. In college that will be different. I bet he handles it fine but that's always the worry with Freshman early.
