I really don’t like the 12 team format. Make it either 8 or 16 (my non-value vote is for 16). As we saw last year, the bye week was actually a detriment to the highest ranked seeds. Playing a patsy at home would actually be a better reward than a bye week for the top teams (there’s already a couple weeks break between CCGs and the start of playoffs).

My thoughts on OU and Michigan

1. The Michigan QB is meh. I know the hype but just meh.

2. OU has a good defensive front 7.

3. OU has no runningback worth anything. If they did, they would not run Mateer to death. Mateer is not going to last the season at this rate. Nevertheless, it would be foolish not to have a spy on him. He IS their RB.

4. OU's OL is nothing special.

5. Moore's seat probably isn't hot right now, but it will be. That was a boring offense and average defense they put out there.

As Peter Griffin from Family Guy said, "What grinds my gears" is the slow pace of the NCAA and its leadership. The Division I Administrative Committee voted to approve a legislative change that eliminates the spring transfer window but did not sign off on establishing Jan. 2-11 as the lone portal window for FBS and FCS players. They have been debating on this for years. They finally made a decision on a single portal date, but still can't decide on when that is. The lack of leadership is pathetic. They might decide on the portal date in October.
