Anybody hear that scholly roster limits are probably going up but not the roster total? 85 up to 105 scholly's for football. Say goodbye to walk-ons.

Seems like roster sizes are increasing in a lot of sports (may actually be cut in others - like swimming for example).

Not everyone on the roster will necessarily have a scholarship, schools will handle this differently. The big programs likely will have 95+ guys on scholarship but may not give out all 105. Will be interesting to see.

BTW Bobby Burton mentioned that given the sports on Texas Campus there are up to 60 more men's scholarships and 20 more women's scholarships available now. A Texas athletic scholarship is now worth 58k a year so if they do add 80 = 6.64 million dollars in scholarships a year.

It also means Texas will definitely need to add women's sports to balance the additional men's scholarships.

Yep Title IX.

They have Ole Miss being the number 2 in the SEC, it's possible.

Texas hosting Notre Dame in Austin in a round 1 playoff game. This is probably one of the biggest perks of the new playoff system, stellar matchups in round 1 games on a college campus.
I see two to three in conference losses for Ole Miss and Texas. What's the tiebreaker formula in the SEC since there are no divisions?
If ND beats aggy in colley station they will be ranked much higher than ninth in the CFP. Their schedule is gravy after that.

What I definitely don't agree with on that tweet is Oregon winning the Big 10.

At SEC media days, I believe they stated they were still working on the tiebreak

If getting into the playoff depends on the vote of the playoff committee, a conference tie breaker for second or third shouldn’t matter much. They will look at the resume of each team and make their own decision.
