I belive theybased on returning talent and the job that coaches did in the past. Eithrr it mostly an educated guess, plus got to keep subscribers happy.

They mentioned coaching sucess at TCU and K. St.

You know they do it based on previous year when you see aggy breaking in a new QB and were ranked #6 in the nation. They weren't anywhere near that kind of team.

TCU will be breaking in a new QB this year. lol

IT on freshman CB Malik Muhammad...

"Overall, depth on the defense is another team strength. Cornerbacks are a good example of that depth. Malik Muhammad was really good both in man coverage or zone. He also had a really good blitz on Arch Manning, and he was active on running plays as well. He’s the total package and probably the most advanced freshman of the 14 enrollees at this point. He would start at most (all?) Big 12 schools this fall."

So we now have a "Blue" and a "Red" in our backfield. Maybe we can land someone named "Green" in the portal. We'd have the most colorful backfield in all of college football.
