Aggie just raised another banner. 2022 national Champion. “Of moral victories”
Please tell me oh wise 605 how to be better at sarcasm like you. Either I've lost my skill or my sarcasm is too deep for JD to get. Teach me oh great one.?

Whatever the final outcome of the Bama/Aggie game, Aggie will count it a victory. Either an actual one (would be nearly unbearable), or a moral one which they are much better at claiming.
Probably. But here is a big difference between moral victories and know deep down you are a winner: The fans of Alabama didn't run onto the field like last year's aggies and this year's Techsters. Aggies and foul mouh TT fans know they will never win championships, so they celebrate one game like it is their Super Bowl. All of the moral victories in the world will not wash away their losses, insecurities and loser mentality.

You're talking to someone who gave Card his just due for his play as the backup QB. And who gives Ewers his just due as the starting QB and obvious better QB of the two.
QE has raw talent, team seems to play at different level for him. He is work in progress. I agree but not gonna go out on limb for kid that has played only 2+ college  games since Jr in high school.

stats are great.....but they show only one side of the game. Take the 2 TD passes to Sanders. One was a perfect throw threaded to the receiver in the end zone and the other to a very well covered Sanders about the 5 yd line that hit him in such perfect stride that it was undefendable....easy TD. The stats show two TD passes....but they do not even approach showing the shear artistry of the throws.

Card is good. He is our guy and one could argue that he saved our season....but dont try and make it more than it is. Card might be a star in another situation, but he cannot approach the talent that Ewers brings to the table.

The way I'm looking at remainder of the season is like this:

Split Iowa St and Ok St games to go 3-1 during this 4 game stretch;

Go 3-1 vs. Ks St, TCU, Kansas and Baylor.  This means take care of business at home and win 1 on the road.

End the reg season at 8-4, play in and win a good bowl game to end at 9-4.

I know we all want more, but that is a stark improvement over 5-7 in year 1.  I would be ecstatic with this finish.

Said it once now again.

1 Card is not as bad as somethink he is.

2 Ewers is not as good as some think he is. Yet.
I don't think anybody thinks Card is bad. I think it is made to appear that way because of the over the top-ness that resides on the board requires rebuttals that make it seem as though Card is being picked on. He's not.

Ewers is pretty good, even at this early, early stage of his career. He keeps playing, he keeps getting better. This is exciting because the ceiling is so much higher. He'll be much better than "good" when this is over.

He instills confidence in fans. Imagine the confidence he gives his offense and even defense for that matter.

I love Card. He might be the best backup QB in America right now.

TFloss, did you copy that correctly?  atm played bama tough!  Jimbo said so.  Don't they deserve to be included?  Don't see OUch, either? They are always good, surely they are better than James Madison at 25.  ?

The rest of the schedule:

Iowa State at home (W)

@ Oklahoma State (?)

@ K-State (?)

TCU (?)

@ Kansas (?)

Baylor (?)

That is quite a gauntlet to go through. Yeah, we're good and getting better. But so is every team left there perhaps excluding ISU.

This summer we all thought K-St, TCU and Kansas were going to be an easy stretch. Not so at all.
