Just another indictment on how nationally irrelevant we have become.
Actually, it doesn't. As everyone understands, we'll have to earn our way back.

While we do, I won't be rushing to see what the AP has us ranked. The poll is what is irrelevant, assessing based upon nothing but speculation.

When mid-year hits, then that poll becomes more interesting because we learn that too many of those picks on this year's teams were based largely on last year's teams.

The poll is only worth the fodder it creates right now.

Injury update from Sark's PC

  • WR Isaiah Neyor (torn ACL) will miss the 2022 season.
  • OL Junior Angilau (torn ACL) will miss the season as well.
  • CB Jahdae Barron — (ankle) week to week
  • RB Roschon Johnson — (leg) week to week
  • DL Alfred Collins  — week to week
  • OL Cole Hutson — week to week

Notes . . .

– Tempo was good. The ball was 'alive."

– Texans scout at practice today

– Argye Hall back on team "when time is right."

– Hates losing Angilau, but is confident in Hutson, Roberson and Parr as back up centers. (This confirms to me that Hutson was awarded the G spot and thus moved Angilau to backup center).

– Two players who could play any spot on the offense – J Whitt and Worthy.

– QBs played fine but missed opportunities. Looks forward to film review with them.

– Fumbles were fixable things.

– Team ran 100 plays in 100 degree weather and ran gassers afterward.

– Consistency is big for Savion Red and Brennan Thompson.

All notes are from TFB.

This is significant.  Sounds like Hutson beat out a 3 year starter at G.  Now I'm excited for Hutson.  Maybe losing Angilau won't be that bad.  Yeah, it sucks for depth, but it sounds like they did not lose a starting OL.

Encouraging news on Rojo and Alfred Collins.  Still sucks losing Neyor, but I think they can and will fill that void.  Sounds like the door is open for Omiere and Hall to step up and walk right through.  Just need Hall to get straight and have the opportunity.

I still picture a talent rich offense come mid-season with Ewers, Worthy, Bijan, Sanders, Whittington, Hall, Banks and Campbell.....hmm, six 5* and two near 5* talent (8 out of 11).
