Did you like how I left out the part about firing? It's just an opinion anyway.

I still think the Big Cigars are the virus Kirk mentions.
To some extent you are what represents the virus as well.  The impatient fan?  Win now or get fired?  The article specifically talks the issue as if its the players and culture and not the coaches as you suggest.  The reference to putting a bandaid on it means the coaches dont fix the problem they just mask it.  It appears Sark is determined to fix it based on the quotes.

“In order to change the culture there that has been struggling since 2010, even the last couple of years with Mack (Brown). Something got into this program that’s like a virus, and it’s permeated itself for over a decade now. So to get it done right, you can’t put a Band-Aid on this problem and a Band-Aid over there and expect it to be ‘look we’re 8-4, everything’s fine over here.’ Nope. It’s almost like a decayed tooth. You gotta really go to work on that thing.”

To be clear i do not mean to single you out, specifically.  I have done the exact same thing throughout the last 3 coaching regimes.  We all want to see wins.  Im just mentioning this because of the "fish stink starts with the head" comment etc.  We are impatient but maybe this cant be fixed with bandaids it needs to be fixed and it will be ugly before it gets better.

Thoughts on the rekindle of Guilbeau? Seems like there is some smoke there.

As mentioned, impatient fans are part of all sports these days, Texas just has more of them. I think it's more than the press or social media critiquing recruiting, I infer it to mean big money donors who have the coaches contact info? It would seem a perfect opportunity for NIL backing? You want me to respect your opinion, pony up some cash.

I am not of the belief that you have to tear it down to the foundation to remodel it.

According to Suchomel's sources, despite the loss to Kansas, Texas “absolutely” helped its position with some of those guys, maybe even all of them.

Just don't see how that performance helped them with anyone.

And I forgot to include Neto Umeozulu in that group.
I'm not buying it.
