Per IT, S Caden Sterns will opt out of the last two games of the season.

It's not clear at this time if he will return for his senior year, or move on.

Maybe we should all opt out as being fans these last 2 games? If so, please respect our decision.
I already did.  I watch every game, every year (even Strong's last game against TCU), but this year i decided to schedule tees for next 2 Saturdays.  I don't want to watch Herman not kick a FG when it calls for it or throw a go route on 3rd and 2 or make it a close game with 2 teams they should beat by at least 30 points because winning is really, really hard.

Watched the press conference. It was painful. Just listening to Herman go on about the accomplishments of past teams and how great K State is made me want to puke. If I hear 1-0 one more time I'm going to break something. CDC really needs to take action.

It's painful to watch any UT coach when they are about to be fired.

I believe everyone here would love to be talking about Herman’s second run at a title and if we can go undefeated again this year.    Sadly, that is not the case.  I had high hopes for Herman.  Really wanted him to be the guy.

I already have. I'll watch both games and hope the team wins, but if we lose then I won't lose any sleep. I rather the team finish at 7-3 and go to better Bowl. Bringing in the right coach is more important for the future of the program.

I think Sterns was hurt a lot last year and earlier this year with a turf-toe. His numbers have not be equal to his freshman year's numbers and he has caught a lot of flack for that and for his social justice stance. I don't blame him for wanting to go somewhere else and start over. And if he can get paid for it, all the better for him.

If available on TV I will watch next two games. Win lose or draw I am for theHorns.

Very diasapointing year buthave seen worse.

Latest from IT on coaching situation...

- there is talk that Urban Meyer may be having trouble rounding up his support staff that he used at both Florida and Ohio State, which is potentially a deal-breaker.

- Texas has reached out to a Plan B in the  NFL, but no names were given other than its not Kyle Shanahan or Kilff Kingsbury.
