If someone tried to tell me to consider some other place, I would thank them and tell them that I would at the first opportunity.

This should be a VERY interesting year in recruiting.

We have the following recruiting staffs descending up on our state:

1. Chad Morris/Arkansas

2. Jimbo Aggins/Aggy

3. Riley/Land Thieves

4. Herman/Texas

5. The Ogre/LSU

6. Bama

In no particular order. But I do expect each of these to be in fierce competition this year. I think LSU has a down year in recruiting and if results on the field fall, Ogre could be in trouble.

More than most, OU's recruiting success is tied to their results on the field. Lately, thats been pretty successful in both. But can Riley sustain that with so many losses and a question at QB?

Jimbo, IMO, has seen his better days. But he does have a very capable staff of recruiters. They'll likely go gang-busters during the spring/summer – then the season will begin and disaster will strike. Clemson, Bama, Auburn within a 4-week stretch? Not good.

Morris, IMO, is the more worrisome of the two new coaches here. While Fisher has a reputation, its not really well known here and most all of it is in his rear-view mirror. Morris will bring the Arkansas offense into the 21st century and will have just as much success on the recruiting trail. I expect Morris to hit East Texas and DFW HARD. Morris and staff are going to be a pain in our side. And Arkansas will rise in the SEC West, to the detriment of aggy.

Should be a fun ride.

I’m a woman, and I was one of the featured twirlers for the LHB. 

There was one spot open, and had I not been chosen, I would have gone as a student. There were preliminaries and finals. The final was between me and my closest friend. 

That was tough.

I just came aboard to ask for a briefing (for those of us who have paid no attention to 2019 up until now).  My guess is linebacker is a priority? 

Looks like Aggie has a good start for 2019.

Linebacker will be a priority, but it is not the ideal year in-state to load up at LB. May have to look OOS. It’s a quality year in state on the OL and WR, so Texas needs to establish who they want badly at those position and go after them hard.

You must be expecting a good amount of attrition or a lot of early departures because I would expect the 2019 class to be 19 commits. 25 commits next cycle after taking the amount we just did would be unlikely unless they are taking no one in 2020.

We have 19 seniors. So add in early draft entrees, regular attrition, and we still have about 3 more spots open right now we could get to 25 next year.

Isn't there a limit on how many you can count towards each signing class for consecutive years?  something like 50 within two years?

Looked at the roster, we currently have a total of 81. Might add a grad transfer or 2 before the summer. 

But there are "rumors" of the Duvernay brothers leaving, Freeman retiring, and Nelson leaving. Also Kirk Johnson could retire due to injuries. So that is possibly 5 more scholarships available. 

I'll try to type up a complete roster tomorrow with the numbers of each position.
