Fellas, I'm thinking the aggy baseball team can go to Omaha and do some serious damage there. They have the hitting and their pitching has been on fire lately. They're just flat out good.

To make this Longhorn related, will Texas even be invited to a regional? I'm thinking anything short of winning the Big XII tourney and the team is staying in Austin.

Texas is gonna have to win the Big 12 tourney to make the tournament.

As for aggy, I'll believe it when I see it. Since Childress has been the coach (11th year) they've made the CWS 1 year and won 0 games. Childress always has decent to really good teams in the regular season. We'll see if he's finally figured out how to win when it matters. Maybe aggy makes the CWS, I surely wouldn't bet on it with Childress.

I didn't say I'd be rooting for them but if you're a fan of college baseball, you have to notice how well they're playing. I love making fun of them but you have to give credit where it's due.

I know the history of Childress and aggy has been screaming for his head for years now. I've seen them a couple of times on TV and they have been impressive. They have some impressive road wins and series wins, minus the one vs Florida where they got swept and I'm not sure how they did vs LSU.

Their team is full of SRs and if they are gong to make a run, this is the year.

Historically, ags in Omaha ~= Tech in Omaha

Let them win a national championship. Hell, they trail UTEP and Rice in having won a championship in a major sport and haven't won a CWS game since the late 1990s.

I'm not expecting them to do a damned thing but (yet again) embarrass themselves, but it's about damed time they started catching up with the state's second tier programs.

I'm sorry, but where the F@#K am I ? Is this a congratulatory thread to agricultural's baseball team?

Sorry, I wasn't happy to see them in the Sweet 16 either. I'm a bad sport and when they're involved screw taking the high road.

Their all-time record in Omaha is something like 2-10.  History says they're more likely to get there and go 2-and-a-'cue than they are to win it all, provided they even make it there.

Welp, we all called this.

#1 team, like 12 draft picks, and couldn't even make the CWS. aggy gonna aggy. Make fun of Augie all you want aggy, you wish you had a coach like that.

Ags have won 2 games in Omaha all time. Last win? 1993 over Kansas.

By the way, SEC is 0-fer-Omaha right now. Last chance for them is Florida tomorrow night.
