The Texas Longhorns (10-1, 7-1) close out the regular season tonight at Darrell K. Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium as they host the Texas Tech Red Raiders (6-5, 5-3) on Senior Night. The Longhorns will honor and bid farewell to many senior players, as well as their rivalry with the Red Raiders which began in 1928.

Texas has won five straight since losing to Oklahoma, while Texas Tech has a three-game win streak of their own. Tonight’s game has tremendous significance for the ‘Horns – A win for vaults them into the Big 12 Championship Game for the first time since 2018. A loss doesn’t preclude them, but they will need help from some of the other conference matchups taking place on Friday/Saturday.

Texas Tech won last year’s matchup in Lubbock 37-34, which led to Joey McGuire’s comments about the Longhorns “breaking” and the “Big 12 running through Lubbock.” The Red Raiders would love nothing more than to play spoiler in this game, in which the Longhorns are favored by 12.5 points.

Kevin Mar and his goons will be the crew again today.
Texas has already been flagged for 2 preemptive holding calls and 3 PIs to be used at some point in the game. Texas Tech has elected to turn those calls into 0 calls against them all game.
Sark and staff better pull out all stops today because I guarantee you Tech will. They’ll go for every 4th down and everything they can possibly do to stay in it. Kevin Mar is officiating so we’re already at a disadvantage. Sark’s motto is All Gas No Brakes so now is the time to show it.
Jerry Jones just walked on the field. Hex.

Hope we don't lose Watts on the first play. That would definitely suck.
Muhammad got away with a little tug on 3rd down. Good news concerning the officials. Going to let the players play hopefully.
