GAME DAY! Horns vs Clemson – CFP Rd 1

I like the matchup with ASU. If they stop the RB then they stop ASU. They're not horrible in the passing game, but not nearly as good as Klubnik tonight.

So, if Texas beats ASU, coupled with them beating Clemson tonight, can they claim to be the ACC and B12 champions? Asking for an aggy friend.

can’t complain about a W!

We will be similar favorites against ASU.

Defense didn’t do as well as I thought they would. I also think the passing game is very mid despite NFL talent scattered everywhere. A healthy Bond would change that.

Glad to see Blue build confidence again and look healthy. He’s a difference maker against any team but esp elite defenses. A healthy Bond and Blue make the offense elite. Without them, we are just decent to good.

Solid win against a pretty decent Clemson squad. Man clubnik can sling the football. He picked on Muhammad all second half.

Good job running the football last night. I hope sark will lean on the ground game more net game and keep putting Ewers in good position to make the throws. Ewers is at his best when the run game is clicking. Establish the run

I didn't expect to see Muhammad get torched like that...

UT should stop going for it on 4th and short.
I liked the 4th down try on first drive inside the 10. The 2nd attempt, I would have rather had a 17-point lead at that point.

The other thing I hate is that ultra-slow developing, QB turns his back for a second and then appears to spin around and blindly throw a screen in the opposite direction. That has been blown up 2 games in a row. I think it worked well against UTEP or someone earlier in the year. However, with the quality of defenses left in the bracket, I wish we would just scrap that one.

This is the "Sark Screen" and has been crazy successful in the past. Teams at all levels of football started copying it.

I do think at this point teams are prepped for it and have been blowing it up in the backfield pretty frequently.

PK media availability comments after the game.

Good quote

"On Jahdae Barron, Michael Taaffe and others calling him a genius:
"Well, yeah, I'm humbled by that, but without these guys executing at a high level, I look like a schmuck. They get all the credit because they're the ones that are out preparing. We're putting them in position, and they've got to go out and execute and they've done it on a consistent basis this year."
