For those clamoring for changes at Belmont

Not the direction I'd go, but some athletic departments are beginning to get adjustments.

As I said, this is not where I would have started. Larry is a 30+ yr employee of The University and a good guy. He was our NCAA tourney rep for regionals and Supers and lead guy in Omaha. Most that know him or have dealt with him think this is a very surprising move. Personally I think there are greater issues that need attention over this.

Sometimes the ones you care about the most are the ones you let go first so they get the transition behind them as soon as possible. This is all positive for the program, and ultimately for the mission of the university.

I believe that change simply for the sake of change is mindless and pointless. Anyone can do it, and it isn't necessarily an improvement. There are much more visible, obvious positions that need to be corrected, one way or another.

One of the things many organizations do is offer early retirement . . .

Sadly (having seen this bite companies in the azz several times) you give up valuable experience and often wind up promoting under performance. . . .

Changes for the sake of change is poor business practice. . .
