Did Sumlin just kick Golden and Claiborne off the team?

A$M needs to cancel Football for good and play games of Dominoes @ the Golden  or Crispy or  Broken Chicken or what ever it is called in CS. :wacko:

Someone wisecracked that it's a good thing they have those 12 empty seats in their new stadium. They can invite the jury over for a game while they are deliberating.
Now we see the plan from the project plans.....good deal.

Tomorrow would be a great day to announce the Stansbury charges.

R Duke

Please let us know when that chart is updated with a new number one position for the aggy. I have got to send that to a few friends of mine.

Kicking the two off the team allows Sumlin two more spots for next year's recruiting class. Advantage aggy.

I don't care who you are... that there is funny stuff there...

Wow, the aggies were 111th last year in total defense. That's stinks!

Report: A&M dismisses Claiborne, Golden after robbery charges

Texas A&M's efforts to rebound from its disastrous 2013 defensive showing suffered a major setback Tuesday as Kevin Sumlin dismissed promising sophomore defenders Darian Claiborne and Isaiah Golden from the team.

"These two individuals have failed to meet the high expectations and standards that we have for our football players and as representatives of this university," Sumlin said in a statement. "These two players have exhibited a pattern of behavior that we will not tolerate at Texas A&M."

The local Eagle reported Tuesday afternoon that both Claiborne and Golden were arrested Tuesday on three charges each of aggravated robbery. The incident in question dates to May 23. Bail is reportedly set at $120,000 for each.

Claiborne and Golden were both also arrested following a February incident in a Bryan, Texas, parking lot, with Golden charged with marijuana possession and Claiborne an excessive noise violation. Both charges were misdemeanors. The arrest was Claiborne's second in a span of three months following his own possession charge in December, one that resulted in his suspension for the Aggies' Chick-Fil-A Bowl victory over Duke.

Claiborne was a key figure for the Aggies' beleaguered 2013 defense, starting nine games at linebacker and leading all SEC freshmen with 89 tackles. He also led the Aggies with seven tackles-for-loss.

Golden was the rare true freshman starter on the defensive line, appearing in 11 games and making six starts at tackle. He recorded three tackles-for-loss and 30 tackles overall.

Despite Claiborne's and Golden's efforts, the Aggies still finished 111th in FBS total defense and 96th in scoring D -- rankings that must improve in the post-Johnny Football era if A&M is going to contend for an SEC West title. Losing a proven difference-maker in Claiborne and a high-ceiling top-100 recruit like Golden even before they reach their second seasons in College Station is a staggering blow and a major hurlde for defensive coordinator Mark Snyder.

I withdraw my earlier comment about Sumlin being out of line for cracking down on failed drug tests.

The Eagle has learned Golden and Claiborne were arrested today on three charges each of aggravated robbery from an incident on May 23.
It's on the news here. I don't know if it has hit ESPN yet, but it will.

This is going to hurt the Ags and hurt them badly.

Wow, A&M's defense could be historically bad next year. Claiborne is their only proven LB and really only good LB IMO. Golden was going to be a starter on the D-Line. If Stansbury's case doesn't work out that defense is going to be even worse next year.

A&M's 2013 football class.

* Ricky Seals-Jones WR Injured

* Sebastian LaRue WR Transferred

* JaQuay Williams WR Transferred

* Isaiah Golden DT Dismissed

* Darian Claiborne OLB Dismissed

* Kameron Miles S Dismissed

* Jordan Points SDE Dismissed

* Jeremy Tabuyo WR Rumors about to transfer

* Kohl Stewart QB Never made it, went pro

Liucci violates NCAA rules like the Aggie team breaks penal code ones.

It is an absolute joke someone has to commit that many crimes to get kicked off a team.

Honor Code my ***
