If we can somehow get 5 or 6 from Schiraldi out of this, what a win. The thing that makes Schiraldi so frustrating is that he has great stuff. Just throw strikes.

Can't get it. Please keep posting.

i've got it on Dish 445

schiraldi finally found something last inning.  he's very, very lucky to have only given up one run, but he went to his breaking pitches and found something.  he can't throw his fastball for strikes, but he can throw the breaking pitches.  weird.  he's still lucky to have this lead, but that was a helluva last inning.  great answer.

and joey, i had a corona earlier, thank you very much.

Schiraldi always starts throwing better after about the 3rd or 4th inning. His arm is too lively at the beginning of games. Once his arm gets a little tired he starts throwing strikes.

who is the guy doing the color on this broadcast?  obviously a ball player.  i think he's real good.
Jay Payton is doing analysis tonight.  Played for Georgia Tech, Mets, Rockies, Padres, Red Sox, A's, etc.

Glad Skip and Augie are the coaches and not me. I would have pulled Schiraldi after that lead off walk in the 3rd. Saved our bullpen.

my favorite player for the last couple of years has been payton, but i'll tell you, i think ben johnson is one helluva good looking ball player.  fast as shit, great pop, great arm.   works out in the weight room like a fiend and it shows.  this guy is going to be hell on wheels next year.

me too.

he has pulled it together, no doubt.  how much was him and how much was coaching, but i don't care.  he did an admirable job of holding it together.  kudos.
