Dallas (Traded with Washington): Demarcus Lawrence, OLB/DE, Boise State:Lawrence may not have the explosive get-off that some of the other rushers in the draft possess, but he's athletic, instinctive and has a wide array of moves to get to the quarterback. Solid against the run as well. GRADE: B

Why This Pick Makes Sense: 

Really like the pick and the value here, as Lawrence has been continually underrated since a poor combine.

One day in Indianapolis aside, he's a stud athlete who knows how to make game-changing plays. He certainly won't make people forget about the last DeMarcus in Dallas, but he'll improve the defense. 

Where Things Could Go Terribly Wrong: 

Some character red-flags and the thought that maybe he was just a man among boys at Boise kept some low on him.

As you can see, they have filled 4 spots with just 2 draft picks.  At first blush, this new staff is looking smarter and more efficient then the last staff.  So, I am counting it as off to a great start.

Tennessee: Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington: The Titans fill a huge need here with the reliable, consistent Sankey who, although he's not the explosive game-breaker that fans in Tennesse grew accustomed to in Chris Johnson, exhibits patience, vision and strong initial burst to routinely break of nice chunks of yards. A solid receiver as well. GRADE: B+

55. Cincinatti: Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU: The Bengals look to add some size and power here to complement the quick Giovanni Bernard, but many questions remain concerning Hill's consistency, as well as his maturity off the field (multiple arrests). Carlos Hyde would have been the less risky, more explosive pick here, but Hill is still a nice talent. GRADE: C+

Another smart move by a team facing nasty NFC West defenses at least six times a year. GRADE: A

The plan appears to be fix the lines on both sides

Dubious pick to me - as not a position of need - have Garret Graham just signed to a new contract.  Plus have Ryan Griffin from last years draft who has looked very good.  But Fiedorowicz is bigger than both those guys

I think Houston should have traded down if their plan was to take Fiedorowicz. I like him but I feel this was a bit of a reach. He may not have been there at their next pick but he would have fell down into the bottom of the 3rd Round.

Good for Morgan Moses. I really like this guy. I hate that he's playing for Washington but it would have been horrible to see him sit around much longer.

He says he models his game after Gronkowski's.

65. Houston: C.J. Feidorowicz, TE, Iowa: Feidorowicz gives the Texans a well-rounded pass-catching tight end who's an effective blocker, and despite lacking top-notch athleticism, has sneaky speed to separate at the second level. Will drop the easy one occasionally, and needs to clean up his routes a bit. GRADE: B

Grade: A-

Why This Pick Makes Sense: 

Fiedorowicz has a chance to be a poor-man's Rob Gronkowski at the next level. 

He's tall, great wingspan and is willing and capable as both a receiver and as a blocker. As a No. 2 tight end in the third round, it's hard to get more upside. 

Where Things Could Go Terribly Wrong: 

Not a ton of speed and not great footwork, he might be more of a liability at the next level as a in-line blocker because defenders will be able to get under his pads.
