The SEC thread

It appears that LSU has accepted TT's challenge on who can be the biggest ass, while rationalizing they are saving kids all while arrogantly stretching rules for their own purposes. Lane Kiffin, Joey McGuire and Cody Campbell are competing for the douche bag league MVP.

LSU coach Kim Mulkey signed Anna Minaeva, a 6-foot-5 player from Russia who previously played for MBA Moscow. She is getting honorable mention and is in the running.

I believe the Big 10 and the SEC have now both stated that they will not allow players who were drafted and signed NFL contracts to play. And, that coaches who play said players will be suspended. I may have not worded that precisely correct.

I don't think this affects Cole Hudson.

Yes. I read that. I'm surprised, but I'm glad to see that.
Thank you.

Sources: NCAA defectors can't play for NFL team in 2026

The NFL will inform its clubs that any player who returns to the college ranks will be prohibited from signing with an NFL team this season, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Any player cut by an NFL team who returns to college this year still will be considered a free agent, and therefore is not subject to a future draft.

Interesting note:

Sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel that the SEC's chancellors and presidents voted 15-0 to confirm the penalties (suspension of head coaches and huge fines), with LSU abstaining from voting. The vote to approve the new policy banning pro athletes from returning to the SEC was approved by a 16-0 vote.

Imagine that? LSU abstained. 🙄
