Saturday scrimmage notes paraphrased from OTF report.

– Okpala is winning PT. Just playing very well.

– Littleton just gets better and better. Elite break on the ball.

– Lacy to Jermaine Bishop for a TD. Sound familiar?

– 120 plays. Did not tackle to the ground today.

– Running game was lackluster today. M Terry III had a 10 yd gain and Ryan Niblett had a 20 yard gain.

– Cojo was running 1st team getting most of the reps. Coleman was getting a few reps too.

Sark's full statement on the dismissal

"He was dismissed. Conduct detrimental to the team, and that's just what it is. I didn't like it. It's an unfortunate situation for him individually. Again, I hate that. For us as a team, I hate that. He's a quality player, but I have to think about the team first."

According to 247 today, Smith got info a couple of "dust-,ups" with Colin Simmons this week during practice.
I suspect Sark not saying something more neutral, implies the behavior had to be fairly egregious. This is sure to make any potential suiters to tread carefully.

There will always be coaches on the hot seat that will be willing to take the risk. What’s the worst that can happen - get fired? The benefits for them greatly out way the cost, because there isn’t really a cost from their perspective.
