We had a low participation week last week, so we'll be looking to get more posters involved this week. Competition is always a good thing.

Has anyone else noticed that high school games seem to be getting worse, as far as playing dirty and fights breaking out?

Where's the discipline? Who's leading these young men and allowing this?

Same thing if anyone makes a play they are marking an incomplete signal or a first down signal, etc. They act like they are WWE Smackdown. I mentioned this and a young parent replied they are just having fun. I replied, "No, they are showing off. Showing off is 'look at me. I need attention. The same thing in a classroom." The lady said that's because you are old. I replied: Yes I am. The difference is I don't have to wave my Social Security card to everyone to prove who I am. I know who I am. Lol

Yes, and every time someone makes a simple tackle, they have to go celebrate for a few minutes. It's insane. You simply did your job. You made a tackle. That is not a celebratory event.

Yes, it's all about "LOOK AT ME!"

And parents like the one you met are part of the reason it happens. They just laugh it off.

Used to be, you made a tackle, you just went back to the huddle. Many players didn't even spike the ball when they scored. They just handed the ball to the ref.

This generation has some serious issues that are just passed off as "normal" and "just having fun" as you said.

Today, it's about the money. Its about the me. And it's really ugly.

Remember when OU beat aggy 77-0 in Norman back in the Franchione days? Late in that game, one of the DTs for aggy made a tackle after a 2-yard gain. He got right up and started celebrating. The announcers even said something to the effect of "dude, you're down 77-0. How can you celebrate right now?"

#9 Alabama at #8 Oklahoma - It's hard to beat a team twice in a season especially when your offense sux. I'm taking 'Bama.

#10 Miami at #7 aggy - Miami has the offense to beat the aggies. I still believe Beck elevates the Hurricanes to quarter final threats but I'm not sure they have the defense to hold the aggies. At any rate, I'm not picking the ags. I'll take a shoot out with the 'Canes.

#11 Tulane at #6 Ole Miss - It's always nice when you can play your seniors and walk-ons in a game at the end of a season. The Rebels in a rout.

#12 James Madison at #5 Oregon - This kind of seems like one of the games you might see at the beginning of the season not in the playoffs. This game is over before it even starts.

HS - I know nothing about high school football.

Galena Park North Shore vs Duncanville - Duncanville

CE King vs DeSoto - Desoto

Smithson Valley vs Frisco Lone Star - Smithson Valley

Richmond Randle vs South Oak Cliff - South Oak Cliff

Kilgore vs Stephenville - Kilgore

West Orange Stark vs Carthage - Carthage

Yoakum vs Grandview - Grandview

Newton vs Wall - Newton

TIE BREAKER – Predict the score oof Alabama vs Oklahoma
Alabama - 24, chokelahoma 13

#9 Alabama at #8 Oklahoma. - Should be entertaining. Bama wins.

#10 Miami at #7 aggy - Can't ever pick Aggie. Miami wins a close one. This will be the best game of the bunch.

#11 Tulane at #6 Ole Miss - blowout. Ole Miss by like 30+

#12 James Madison at #5 Oregon - blowout. Oregon by 30+

#9 Alabama at #8 Oklahoma👍🏻
Ricky Bobby vs Mobilehoma.
(I'm pulling for land Thieves to lose at home)

#10 Miami at #7 aggy👍🏻
The Nauseous Bowl.
(I hope Miami pukes 🤮on Reveille 🐩).

#11 Tulane at #6 Ole Miss👍🏻
The Green Wave will dry up in Oxford.

#12 James Madison at #5 Oregon👍🏻👍🏻
Boss Hogg won't be able to protect the Dukes (of Hazzard) against Nike.

HS
Duncanville 👍🏻 vs
Galena Park North Shore
Duncanville has more D1 talent than any team in the state. Picking Duncanville 👍🏻

CE King vs DeSoto 👍🏻

Smithson Valley vs Frisco Lone Star 👍🏻
Smithson Valley is the defending state champion. Lone Star 👍🏻 has speed.

Richmond Randle 👍🏻 vs South Oak Cliff
Repeat of last year's game in which Randle won? Should be a great game.

Kilgore 👍🏻 vs Stephenville
Can Kilgore get over the hump? They were here last year and lost to Celina. Stephenville is good. Very good. Picking Kilgore in an upset.

West Orange Stark vs Carthage👍🏻
Carthage is defending champ. Picking Carthage until someone beats them.

Yoakum👍🏻 vs Grandview

Newton 👍🏻vs Wall
Newton is a machine. If anyone can beat them, it would be Wall. Not this year.

TIE BREAKER – Predict the score of Alabama vs Oklahoma
USS Alabama in Crimson Tide (movie reference) falls short.
Land Thieves 20
Crimson Tide 16

After that and aggy prediction, I have to take Pepto Bismol. 🤢

Alabama

Miami

Ole Miss

Oregon

HS

Duncanville

CE King

Frisco Lone Star

Richmond Randle

Stephenville

Carthage

Yoakum

Wall

TIE BREAKER – Alabama 27 Oklahoma 17

Bonus Pick: Gordon big over Rankin in 6-man Div 1.

#9 Alabama – Tough to beat a good team twice in a season. I hope it's 80-0 but I'll take whatever Bama gives. lol

#10 Miami – The Canes match up well against the agroid. It will be a tight game but Miami pulls it out.

Ole Miss – The Rebs just out talent them.

#5 Oregon – A beat down.

HS

Galena Park North Shore – Tough, tough game to pick. Give me GPNS and just call it a gut feeling.

DeSoto – Great teams, but DeSoto has just a little more umph in them.

Frisco Lone Star – team of destiny this year. Beat Aledo. That was all I needed to see.

South Oak Cliff – If there's a team who can beat SOC, it's Randle. But I think SOC takes it in close one.

Kilgore – Stephenville is good, but Kilgore has been dominant all year.

Carthage – It's Carthage until someone beats them.

Yoakum – Great game, but I think Yoakum will take it.

Newton –Newton's only loss was to West Orange Stark and that was a close one. Newton wins big.

TIE BREAKER – Alabama 24, Oklahoma 21

Congrats on Gordon win and third straight state championship..

Not many realize that Gordon was hit by a tornado last Spring. The HS and stadium were hit hard. They did not have time to rebuild before the season.

As a result, every game Gordon has played this year has been on the road. Every one of them.
