Regarding Jaamarion Carlton out of Temple . . OTF says Baylor has the best offer on the table. I think Tech is right there. Texas' offer is considerably less than Baylor's. One guy said Sam Houston State's offer was more than Texas'.

He'll have to want to be at Texas for this to turn out good for the good guys.
What does that last sentence mean?

Reading the tea leaves, it seems that Texas is not willing to offer recruits huge deals that may not be allowable under the new NIL rules. Some schools seem to be willing to push the envelope (like Tech). This feels like early NIL, some teams (like A&M) were making huge offers, perhaps outside of the bounds of the new rules. Texas was slow to start throwing money around but when they did, they had a great and legit apparatus to do so.

We may not be ready to start promising guys big deals, but we will soon enough. I bet we see some big moves late in this cycle (as Sark is prone to do) and some of that will be due to getting some big NIL deals rolling.

Jalen Lott tomorrow - Oregon seems to be the pick

Braydon Rouse announced he is committing tomorrow. Tenn vs Texas. It's tight but Texas made up a lot of ground after Tenn has led for most of the recruitment. He is a top 100 player in the nation and may be a great addition at a better price than a Xavier Griffin or Tyler Atkinson.

Carlton just got a crystal ball to Baylor as well 7 High from 247😂

Stevie Wiltfong said we have the highest NIL offer for TE Kaiden Prothro and there is confidence building on our side

Majority of kids are all about the $$$. It's all good. I think more and more kids will focus on money as their biggest motivator. We have the money....

Why has Texas become Scrooge in NIL when teams like Oregon, Tech and Baylor are throwing money around?

I’m thinking they have money, but the guys committed earn a salary too.
Probably don’t want to get the pay scale out of whack. Can you imagine paying Ojo 5 mil ? For a development guy ?
The other Oline guys ain’t gonna be happy with that.
But you can bet we have not heard the last of Sark in this recruiting class.

Well, Tech's roster is crap so they have some money to play with. Same with Baylor.

Oregon is a mystery. 14 commits in their class. They've spent a lot of money both in recruiting and the portal. I assume they're playing with no rules until made to do so.

Texas is trying to manage toward how things will end up being.

Rouse to Tennessee
Well crap. I'll be back in October when recruiting gets serious for Texas. I'll still be around for the season because I'm excited for that, but recruiting has been lackluster the last month. I still believe this staff will get most of who they want, just not right now.
