SERIES THREAD – #1 Texas at #11 Arkansas

Top of the 9th,
A Rod single. A Rod takes 2nd. Groundout. A Rod moves to 3rd. Strikeout. Fly out.
 
Way too strikeouts by our batters. Too many walks and HBP by our pitchers. Post game chat with Keith and Schloss, Schloss was being nice for the radio. But doubt he will be that way in the locker room.
 
TxAgs alll giddy. Saying this is the start of the collapse for Texas and they won’t make it out of a super Regional.

I know it hurts Texas but hope LSU sweeps their ass.

15 strikeouts by our batters in tonight's game. No hit batters. Something like 2-3 walks.
Compared to pigs
5 strikeouts. 5 hit batters. Too many walks to guys that were at 0-2 to walks.
 
This might be the 1st time where most should be curious as to the starter at pitching and how the lineup looks like.
Schloss changed up the lineup for Friday night for the 1st time in a while. Moving A Rod and Schuessler up and Borba and Gasparino down. It didn't help much.

Need to stay away from a sweep at all possible. Even if swept though we still have a have a lead. All of which I already stated last Sunday, after the sweep of aggy, that we had a 5 game lead with 9 conference games left. Meaning we need 4 wins/losses combo with arkie, LSU, and technically fake ut. Those 3 have games with each other left. I can't fix the stupid of some, no need to mention their names, both start with b, but if you really want maybe fske ut to drop to 5th or 6th on the conference tournament to possibly face the 4th or 3rd seed. Not to mention LSU @ aggy this weekend, Auburn at fake ut, with a suspended game where Auburn had a lead on fake ut. BTW, the Irish guy hit a 2 run homerun before the game was suspended. It's not just us.

The way Schloss talked pregame he hates losing. So, even when we might have secured the regular season title, he wants as many wins as possible.

I get that they are happy. But this was the same crap they said last yr. when they were hating on Schloss and Weiner after losses. There was 1 guy that I knew was hoping Schloss and Weiner would leave as the pitchers throw the same pitches and the batters are undisciplined at the plate.

Schloss is usually very mild manner. But the ball and strikes and then the crappy mental breakdown by Gasparino and Borba put it over the top. I might have missed something, but when the home ump gave us a warning on ball and strikes but I didn't see one the vety next half inning to arkie. Makes it questionable for the warning outside of us being the visitor.

BTW, if that guy that was throwing shrimp tails into the field, then he should be thrown out of the game and not allowed to ever attend again. But again was that where he was throwing; if so, he should be gone and never allowed back in and arkie should be be fined for those being in the field of play. It's the same as a football field, basketball court, and now a baseball field.

I don't know too many coaches, if any, that like losing.

I'm wondering if Schloss will sit Borba and Gasparino today as an example to what happens when you don't pay attention.

Since they can't beat us, they have to be happy when someone else does. Screw aggy, we swept their a$$ when they were red hot.
 
12-7 Arkansas bottom of the 7th with 1 out and 1 man on.

Have to give them credit, they’re hammering our pitching.
