I feel that way about every position (of every sport). People get carried away with height, weight and other metrics. The main metric for success is winning on the field, court, etc. I made similar observations when the topic was QBs at Texas. Same logic goes for OTs. 😉

I liked the video. I know there were "intellectuals" (sarcasm) at OB that made fun of it. I thought it made the game fun. My kids liked it. I'm sure when the video was created it wasn't made for Kirk Bohls and his type.
I remember the first time they played it a DKR as the team took the field and I'll admit, I thought it was pretty cool.

ICYMI, Nick Brooks was arrested at 2 am in Austin for DWI. Here's a snippet from a short article.

According to an APD affidavit, Nick Brooks, 18, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor. The affidavit said Brooks, whose legal name is Nicolai, was speeding in the 900 block of W. 6th St. just past 2 a.m. Sunday. When an officer pulled him over and searched him, a gold vape pen with a marijuana leaf inscribed on it and “think, amber liquid” was found in his right pocket, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit said Brooks was given a breath test at the scene with a 0.00 result, but an officer determined Brooks was “intoxicated due to the introduction of cannabis/CNS depressants” and was “unable to operate a vehicle safely.”

I’m not an expert or a lawyer but I’m thinking a good lawyer could get those charges dismissed.

As your mother told you many times, “Nothing good happens after midnight”. Hope he learns from this and makes better life choices in the future.
I agree his actions could have been better and I'm sure the Texas coaching staff will introduce him to certain activities his teammates won't have to participate in. However, unless the officer has a blood sample, his suspicions will be hard to prove, especially since the kid blew a 0.0 on the breathalyzer test.

Burton had some good points in an article today. He noted that we lost/gained and made the comparisons.

We lost TE Niblack to the portal. We gained Jack Endries. Net gain

We lost DL depth pieces in Sydir Mitchell, Aarron Bryant and Jaray Bledsoe. We gained Cole Brevard, Travis Shaw, Maraad Watson, Lavon Johnson and Hero Kanu. Net gain

We lost Johntay Cook but gained Emmit Mosely V. Net gain.

We lost punter Michael Kern but gained Jack Bouwmeester. Net gain.

We lost Bert Auburn but gained a kicker with 60 yd range. Net gain.

Texas has been a consistent winner in the portal. You add that on top of being the best team in HS recruiting and the roster is clearly one of the best, if not the absolute best in the country.

I think we're seeing how dedicated Sark is to making next year a run for the title.
