IT reporting WR Silas Bolden will be in town this weekend.

He'll be moving to Austin in May, but he's not sure what date yet.

Thursday team notes from Hamilton at OTF.

These are the Cotton Bowl improvements:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/c...n-in-its-84-years-what-s-changing/ar-BB1kGSna

The highly anticipated renovations focus on enhancements to the visitor experience including:

  • The addition of 14 new escalators
  • Construction of new multi-story entries at the two west entrance gates
  • The upper west concourse will be increased to three times the current square footage and include two outdoor terraces with views of downtown Dallas.
  • The main concourse on the west side of the stadium will be doubled in size, featuring new art deco artwork to augment the venue’s classic style.
  • Restrooms and concession stands will get a makeover and more will be added
  • Creation of new premium seating environments and a newly expanded press area in the South endzone
  • Improving the in-stadium Wi-Fi signal
Other renovations are planned for the surrounding Fair Park, including a privately funded Community Park Complex and upgrades to the Music Hall at Fair Park and the African-American Museum.

Are any of these really a big deal?

In today's world yes.

What do you mean by that?
SHA seemed to wonder if improvements matter. I belive intodays fan world they do. Not only the fans, but now ina 8 team leaque 7 make the play offs every one gets a prize.

Days of sitting on oak plank bleachers are gone today need a lazy boy and personal tv.

I think I was referring to those specific improvements because I have doubts the public will even notice much based on the description. So many don't read news today so they'll never really know.

But I do. agree about the "everyone gets a prize' thing. Just wrong.

Now, we have metal bleachers. They're not as comfortable as the oak plank type. This was a great development for those who manufactured stadium seats.

He was responding to a post I made about the Cotton Bowl improvements, back about 5-6 posts I think. I listed them and linked it.

It was a lot of money for not a lot of splash, IMO. Plus, not all of that money is going to the Cotton Bowl.
