If Sark liked him enough to bring him in, then it's a Hell Yeah! hire. The coach hiring pattern Sark is demonstrating is proven college recruiter with successful NFL experience. Given that's similar to Sark's path, it makes sense that he knows how valuable NFL experience is and how valued it is by recruits. Not many programs have the gravitas to entice NFL coaches to come back to the college ranks to develop players, but Texas with Sark at the helm is one.

Don't know much about him, but I'll admit that I didn't know much about Chris Jackson when he was hired either, and he turned out to be a good one. Sark has earned the benefit of the doubt with me.

Read where Baker has a lot of energy which is a positive with recruiting and also when teaching and motivating. He's been coaching DL for many years so should have the technical details down. Now it's a matter of teaching it to the big boys and motivating them to fight through a brick wall.

We gonna need as good of a DL as Georgia has had. He’s gonna get us there. We had the interior elite but needed the pass rush to be better. Next year we will see both.
