Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

Who ever becomes the LB coach will have one of the barest rooms on the team.

WR, LB, and DB all need help.

Ok I’ll say it……..Sark is a better recruiter than Mack Brown. Fire away at me if you want.
Sark is about to get PAID
It’s a different world today but nobody has ever dominated Texas in-state recruiting like Mack Brown. Sark needs some #1 overall classes to take over Mack but he’s getting closer and closer! Sark def much better recruiting nationally.

Yeah it’s way different than when Mack was getting 7 out of the top 10 recruits in Texas. You can’t do that anymore. If you don’t recruit nation wide you aren’t going to be able to play with the big boys

Yes, Sark is outstanding in the recruiting department, and he's only going to get better. Success on the playing field by playing for and hopefully winning more championships, clear evidence of players being developed and drafted, and access to NIL opportunities that no other school can beat are all reasons it should only get better from here. On top of that, it's obvious that players love playing for Sark and his staff, and news of that gets around to recruits.

We currently have four 5-star commits. I don't know if I ever saw Mack do that well.

Mack would only recruit an out of state kid if they had an in with him somehow or were contacted by the recruit. Otherwise, he was all-Texas. You could probably say he didn't need to leave the state too much.

Sark has us recruiting on a national level like we've never done before. And he still gets a fair share of the in-state kids.
